Very odd no details were provided on air. Unless I missed something

1) no one was mad they took a day off work. Listeners were upset they did not communicate that the whole station was taking the day off.

2) jurk seemed to indicate Carm was not at the team building event yesterday and was at a golf outing and that when the event popped up in his calendar he thought it was a death March. Which makes me think the team building event was impromptu indicating there’s some internal problems at GKB.

They were talking about the ManningCast and who they could have on as a guest that would be better than Tom Brady was last night. Hood said they should have Romo on if CBS would allow it, but sometimes networks don't want to do things like that. Kap said that reminded him of Illinois not wanting to play UIC because it would hurt their recruiting if they lost, and how stupid it was to think that way.

The other day JHood was acting out a scene as Virginia McCaskey yelling at George to get the hell out of bed after losing to Green Bay. I thought it was funny.

Connor McKnight has been filling in for Hood while he's (I assume) on vacation. McKnight was generally OK as part of White Sox broadcasts because he was in a limited role. Although, I did hear him refer to the Indians and the Guardians while everyone else on the broadcast was saying Indians...because they are still the Indians. Not totally surprising from a Pajama Boy like McKnight, though.

However, I had forgotten just how irritating his Bernstein-lite personality is as the host of a show. Just having Kaplan solo with the producers, who chime in quite often anyway, would have been fine.

I don't think this was anything more than him trying to get into the habit of calling them by the correct nickname, however lame it may be, for the following season(s).

Insanity. Fields has to be better than Mitch first. Let him win a playoff game, let alone a Super Bowl. Let him throw for 3,000 yards, let alone 4,000 as Eli did in 7 years. Eli had 12 or 13 years when he started all 16 games and Fields is already going to miss a game his first season. The 1st bar for Fields is Mitch's 29-21 record with 2 playoff appearances.
