Several current hosts struggle mightily to find enough content to put on a show. Holmes and Parkins especially could really use callers to inject some much needed energy/content into their at times tedious shows.

Kap and Hood simply have revisited the proven sports talk radio format from years ago, busting on Bears management, using callers to bring some energy/emotion to the debate, especially enjoy J Hood ripping Mully.

I'm listening to the podcast of the first hour today and Kap was yelling about the Bears management jerking themselves off yesterday. Can you say that on the air? LOL

Heard it live and was cracking up.

Nothing on the Score even comes close to Kap and Hood

Really enjoy Hood's inside jokes, a caller brought up some irrelevant baseball stat and he quickly quipped, "this ain't the Bernstein show", brought a brief moment of levity to the the otherwise dark existence of the the Clawmaster.

i like kap - i'm also a cubs and hawks fan.

when the cubs were terrible and were still on wgn; kap had his evening show with noonan and darlas - gave us this gem from spring training of "darwin barney is RIPPED". ok, kap...keep your pants on.

when i heard that the light went on - this guy loves his wgn paycheck and tells us barney is ripped and not that the cubs will probably lose 94-98 games.

overall, kap is quality, but i'd be suspicious of his commentary at times.

Kap is flipper.

this show is growing on me. Can't listen live but I find myself catching parts of it almost every day...

What were the ratings before Hood joined the show and after his arrival (which also included the departure of Bleck and Abdalla)?

I think they are very low either way, but it would be interesting to know the specifics.

Listened yesterday and they replayed a bit of Silvy & Waddle’s interview with Cutty re: Fields. It was actually pretty interesting. Anybody hear the full thing?

Just couldn't take Bernstein and Rahimi on Wednesday, and finally decided to switch over to 1000 to hear Hood for the first time in a while. It was a breath of fresh air.

They had national shows on all day last Thursday, too. I don't know why, though.

Yep , me . He’s a blowhole but he’s not an asshole and has never told me that if I do ______that means I’m _______ . He literally does a sports show that talks about .....sports. In this town that’s quite a feat.

I like the guy. He's got genuine energy, likes the sports he's covering for the most part and they periodically can be...funny.

Not B&B level of funny or even close, but slight chuckle funny. It continues to grow on me.

Hosts that take sports and themselves all too seriously like Kap annoy me, but that's about my problem with him

I still think that Kap and Waddle on SportCentral back in the day on WGN were as good as it gets. Both have dialed up the schtick and nonsense since coming on ESPN 1000. I prefer my sports with less of the Chuckle Hut/Morning Zoo mentality than both Kap and Waddle's respective shows deliver these days

He constantly walks up to that line when it comes to the covid vaccine and Hood or Dan pulls him back.

they unexpectedly took last friday off which i assumed was related to june 19th...but then they randomly had today off too...WTF
