Kap is the bridge builder the Score needs! To bring it all back together. The shows will actually like each other and communicate, making a great station again.

Still a good show on ESPN right now.

Its just my call, of course it makes too much sense, but I think he wants to be with the Cubs, the Cubs should want him there...and if the B&B end is here (hopefully) I cant imagine Kap has some long term binding deal for 2 hours a day.

Of course that cubs Pregame TV thing is and can be an issue.

Maybe Holly holds down the fort?

I love Kap. He seems happy at ESPN because the other hosts aren't toxic.

I click over at noon every day.

This.

Whether you like Kap or not, if he came to The Score, the "weeds" would choke all the life out of him.

Who wants to be in an atmosphere like that?

The "Biscuit" sure didn't. But a weed named DiCaro is thriving.

As footballteamgreg has pointed out, listen to Kap and see if he can go 90 seconds without a humble brag.

There's no doubt he has a certain arrogance about him. But he comes off as passionate about Chicago sports, and his shows are typically just sports talk. It sure is better than hearing about the boring personal lives of WSCR's show.

Remember, the man is under contract, of course nobody would tell me.

Signing Kap would be a big deal and would need to be coordinated as such. The Kap, Cub obligation while a hurdle is also a HUGE bonus for the Score and is the reason ESPN shoved him in between Jurk and Silvy, & Co.

Its a weird thing that the guys at the Score are probably not the best guys to be at the Score, the best guys are at ESPN or WDRV.

Oh, he's a fan and a Chicagoan no doubt. He does talk a ton of sports, but he sprinkles enough of his personal life in the talk that you get sick of it quick. "As a season ticket holder, my favorite thing about going to Hawks games are...", or he will mention some place he ate or stayed at while traveling to announce a college game, he golfed this great course with this athlete or that athlete, "in the greenroom as CSN I talked to this guy and he said...". Its constant.

If you dont like rhe brags tough crap. This is like the people who shit on Mac for having 3 TVS to watch games.

If something is cool , tell me about it, dont give a shit if one person thinks its bragging.

I would even argue, its part of his job to make mentions and promote things in general.

I like Kap and think he is a great listen but unless they do total housecleaning at the Score he would never want to be part of that station.

I hope ESPN doesn't lose him as he is a nice bridge to Waddle and Silvy. They like each other and cross-talk is actually entertaining and interesting.

Are you hypothesizing that Kap and Bernstein would see eye to eye?

I listened today to Kap mid-day for the first time on the radio, because Jason Goff was playing social justice crusader, Little Bernstein today .

Excellent show, probably the best on radio.

I'd rather listen to Kap's brags (about sports) than someone else talk about eating or hanging out at the crib.

This insufferable prick being the only credible sports show in this city is the exact reason I don't listen to sports radio anymore.

With an attitude like that you'll never get a gift certificate to Lou Malnati's.

Beardown, time to introduce Boyd to your furnace, and might I recommend looping the Kap Show for his listening pleasure. Oh and feed him Lou's.

Shut up, Dennis.

I prefer Gino's East.

I am in on the Kap train today due to Cubs on the dark side station. I am a creature of habit. If I like it I just might stay.

This is the best show on ESPN currently. It needs to be expanded and go till 3pm. Let Waddle and Silvy go 3-6. Then all 3 shows are 3 hours long.

This is the essence of Kaplan. He's a company shill.

@thekapman David Kaplan
Are you kidding me? How would you know better than Ryan Pace? If Floyd is legit who cares about a damn 4th round pick

Good fucking god. I've had this on in the background, and all he's done for the last 20 minutes has been telling stories about himself.

Harry brought him into the booth once.
Eddie O called him while he was golfing.
He met some pitcher once.

You guys actually think this is a good show? It's not Kap and Company. It's Kap and His Oversized Twat of an Ego.

Better than hearing B&B talking about the Penn St. case

No. I think I once made some excuses and said "at least he talks about sports, bla bla bla..." I am so ashamed of the fact that I said that. Kaplan is truly terrible and terribly insecure, as evidenced by his constant references to who he knows. No one gives a shit who you know or who you hang out with.
