If Guaranteed Rate Stadium is known as the 'shit hole of the america' then Dodgers Stadium is easily the 'shit hole of america-west'

I know this is a bit, but at least be grounded in reality. Dodger Stadium is fucking awesome.

That means the people there are dipshits....this not groundbreaking news.

The stadium itself is great.

I've heard good things. It is the only hole in my NL Cubbie stadium tour,, which I hope to correct next year. If you have ever driven in LA traffic, you would know why people are late to the game. That and California folk are pretty relaxed when it comes to being somewhere on time.

The stadium is pretty meh. It's like a stadium decorated to look like the Price is Right.

Plenty of parking. Horrible access, though. Site lines are good, but no shade for day games. Food is good. Tickets are cheap.

Do you have to know someone who lives nearby to get a decent place to park?

I think we can at least agree to douchebag the fact that, yet again, we'll almost certainly be subject to west-coast first-pitch times. :puker:

To be fair, only twice, but still.

Shouldn’t they have called it the Brooklyn Dog?

Been there a few times in recent years.

Coolest thing is it's built inside a mountain. So when you get there you're above the field. It's like you walk in right where the upper deck and lower deck meet. So it's like a big groundhog dug a stadium inside of a mountain.

As for the place itself. It's ok. It's got a very 60s look to it. They've done a good job renovating and keeping it up to date over the years but it's still like a 60s stadium. Being use to Wrigley maybe I'm spoiled but it's ok. I wouldn't call it a classic ballpark but since its stood the test of time in recent baseball media they've described it as such.

They lucked out that the ball dies there at night. I don't know if the original engineers knew that is how it would play when they built it.
