Sliding head first is dangerous. Why not ban head first slides?

Why slide at all? Sliding is dangerous. Running is dangerous for that matter; I’ve seen more pulled hammies than injuries on tag plays.

And have you ever held a baseball?! That thing is hard, and guys are throwing it very fast with all types of movement. That type of thing is incredibly dangerous.
