I used to go to some baseball card store with a boy I liked and pretended to be happy about baseball cards. It was right by Nosek's apothecary which was pronounced no sex and that was hilarious in 7th grade. I bought candy and makeup there. I think my friends stole things.

My vacations as a kid were going to the baseball card convention at Rosemont.

I have every Pete Rose card from Topps ever made. We knew to invest because he was a sure-fire Hall of Famer. I didn't see that tsunami coming.

What lunch boxes did you have? Dukes of Hazzard, Care Bears, and this Hello Kitty one my aunt bought and my mom made me take for a year. I was mortified when the teacher that I hate held it up and asked who's purse is this? After that is was go home or bag lunch which people loved because my mom packed all sorts of junk for me. She loves sugar.

I had a Dukes of Hazzard one and then a little later a NFL one with all the team helmets on it

That's a big lose for you. I had to go to Minnesota on vacations. I can't tell you how many parties I missed and boyfriends cheated on me so I could see my grandparents. Finally when I was being difficult my dad said sometimes your mom has to see her mom. I get it but they were still wrong.

That was a hand me down right? I could never get on board with tomato soup. I won't eat it.

Early '80s were the baseball card conventions when my brother was still young enough to go with.

When he went to college, late '80s were going to The Western Open.

But, we always stayed in Rosemont for some reason. Maybe my Dad was mobbed up.

I've never been on a family vacation or attended a sporting event with my parents. Unless you count Holland Mi for a tulip festival for a family vacation. But I don't. And now they are all like really you wanted to do this or that? Yeah I wanted to go to FL like everybody else!!!!!!

Sounds like if you took a roadtrip with Reader and Reason.

I went to those.

I bought a Reggie bar for a quarter, and it was the best thing I ever tasted. I ate it in two bites, and the guy who sold it to me said, "They don't feed you much, do they, kid?" I shrugged and he threw me another. The second one was also delicious.

Just before the convention, I found money on the floor of my sisters' bedroom. It didn't occur to me that it was theirs. I spent that sh*t.
