Here's the article you're referring from Mr. Wetzel at Yahoo! Sports:

There are some decent mid-level players, and the 2012 Bears, especially on defense, is pretty much entirety a creation of Angelo (to the extent that some players predate Angelo, he's been responsible for keeping them, which in some cases, like Lance Briggs, has been no mean feat).

On the other hand, pull up the past few drafts for Kansas City. The Chiefs are the worst team in the NFL (or at least close), and the Bears just hired their head scout to run football operations. Weeeeeeee

Urlacher, Briggs and Tillman all predate Angelo. Peppers was a finished product who just happened to be a FA at a time when the Bears were flush with cap space. I'll give Angelo credit for the rest of the group.

Peppers credit goes 100% to Angelo. He was coveted by several teams all within a very similar price range. Angelo landed him. Its impossible to deny credit to Angelo for that.

Ok so then yes, Tommie Harris was the only good 1st round pick Angelo has made. Olsen is certainly not close to what you want from a TE that you spend a first round pick on, and I guess he would be Angelo's 2nd best 1st round pick.

Thank God that Lovie installed that reduced workout schedule years ago.

The longevity of Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, Peppers to some extent, is the only thing that has kept this team from hitting rock bottom from the years of talent gap from poor drafting.

It might be better @ 6P, especially if LoHo is scratched due to a throat problem.

Why would he be scratched? Having a co-host's dick in his throat hasn't stopped him from broadcasting yet.

They start out with more pissing on the grave of Lance Armstrong? Really? I get it you hate him. In fact, that's about the only opinion Terry brings to the conversation. These guys care way too much about irrelevant shit.

CH, Laurence might be a "no go" this eve. His throat is really hurting. Change in weather?

Angelo drafted ONE O lineman between '03 and '07 - the immortal Josh Beekman - before he drafted Williams. Staggering. And hearing the list of linemen drafted after him in the 1st round that have been 5 year starters in this league also makes one sick.

Yeah, Terry also chiming in with the brilliant observation that con men "pretend to be charming" to get their way. Isn't that the fucking definition of a con man? This subject is nails on chalkboard bad.

Josh Beekman? Hard to believe, guys, he was supposed to be the heir apparent to Olin Kreutz, not Roberto Garza, at center for the Bears. Unfortunately, I don't think Beekman resurfaced on another NFL roster after the Bears cut him a few years ago.

So they've talked for days about how amazing Justin Verlander has been so that they can say that Justin Verlander hasn't been that amazing. Okay.

I remember when all the fans were clamoring for Josh Beekman to get off the practice squad and into the starting lineup to replace a bad tackle or something.

Not good.

Need some help from the baseball guys here

Boers said a few minutes ago "there's been talk that no pitcher will ever do the old 1-4-7 again, but if anyone can do it, Verlander can."

What does that mean?

Pitch in games 1, 4, and 7 of the World Series. Schilling did it in 2001.

Take the ball and throw to the opposing team's batters for 3 games in a series.

And now, another gem from CBS Sports Radio's Doug Gottlieb. What the hell is this guy babbling about now?

I have no doubt Verlander could do it.

What's the over/under on the CBS Sports Minute being cancelled? The listeners dont like them, the hosts make fun of them. Obviously coming from the corporate nipple, but man, they absolutely blow.

Act 1 of a multi-act play concerning changes at the Score.

Act 2 will be this. The SCORE replaces K-Hits at 104.3 FM after the first of the year. You read it here.

Gottlieb just attributed Admiral James Stockdale's "Who am I? What am I doing here?" quote to Lloyd Bentsen.

That's when debates were debates.

Oh. I thought that had been done a few times in the last several years so I didn't even think of it. Is that not true?

I seem to remember Carpenter starting 1,5,7 last year.

Boers mentioned something about Bears' head coach Lovie Smith addressing the media at Halas Hall in Lake Forest right after coming back from break. Will "B & B" air the presser @ 3:45P, complete with random soundbites fans of this show have come to know over the years?

Connor McDoink is going to kill somebody soon in a postal-rage.

What was he trying to say there anyway?
