2. I didn't know any "Jew jokes". I'd never met a Jew!

One day I accidentally made a pretty tame joke not realizing it had a Jewish connotation. Maybe I referenced Hollywood Blvd. He almost kicked my ass. I was glad I never had taken him up on the free Jew joke thing.

I bet you got fooled a few times by that weight lifter being the country boy in the big city.

I was aware of the Jewish faith the same way I'd heard of Mormons and Buddhists. I'd just never met a Jewish person.

He did give me a brand new pair of Nike shoes he didn't like for going to the lobby and buying him a can of Sprite. He also had a full-size poster of his girlfriend in stretch pants laying on a bearskin rug. She was hot. Like late-'80s hair band music video hot.

We went to Rip's this year after reffing a football game in Spring Valley. Chicken was excellent and the craft beer selection at the bar was surprising as well. Lagunita's, Boulevard, Half Acre, and Revolution.
