Dan, to his credit, with Jake from State Farm brought up his Hollywood comment. Dan to his discredit, when Jake responded back with essentially "I am a real American" immediately dropped it and tried to move on.

Jake had no idea what Dan was talking about re: Hollywood = Jews. And Dan assumed he did. It was a rather funny exchange.

Did Dan ask him why his velocity was down in his first start? Yesterday he and Laurence were going over some early statcast numbers and seemed alarmed that Arrieta was down when most other pitchers were up, albeit possibly due to the new measuring system. Laurence opined it was because the Cubs are nursing him this year (at least early on), and they said they would address with Jake today.
