That's just cold for them not to say some nice words about drinky.

There is absolutely more to this story.

Of course there's more Beardown, don't mess this thing up. I'm trying to get Matty to talk to Dr Ken's podcast.

The "more" here could be as simple as him leaving with his tail between his legs after having about a half dozen people pass him up at work

Ogle, you don't quit a job with kids and a mortgage. It aint cheap to live in Libertyville. He ain't no 25 year old kid that can move back in with parents while trying to figure out life.

I doubt he quit a job for a worse job.

It doesn't get as worse as entry level Sales Reps for a computer reseller.

This is what IceGirl DMed me:

"There is plenty opportunity elsewhere and he just didn't want to be there any longer. There is no juicy story behind it unfortunately."

Several people have been worse than me in this thread. In fact, I've posted nothing wrong. Just speculation. You've done the same. I'm just commenting on what went down with him leaving. Others are getting personal about the other stuff.

But why didn't he want to be there anymore? Just a month ago he was on with Larry talking about loving his new role. What happened?

Drinky was a bartender. If you work at a high traffic, upscale bar, you could probably clear over 100k. And a lot of that is not taxed cuz you don't declare all the tips. But that's a lot tougher than reading twice an hour.

there was some awkward radio a few months ago with drinky and leery. drinky basically admitted he screwed up a lot in life... there was a thread on it, perhaps him quitting with nothing lined up is just part of how he is choosing to try and get his life back in order. either way, i didnt care for him as a radio host, i don't approve of some of his life decisions, but I wish no ill will towards his life and his future endeavors. in fact, if he truely left because he wasnt happy and wanted a change, i admire his willingness to take that chance.

I think it's just 2 kids. I think he has one grown daughter on her own.

And yes, you can cut it in Libertyville on 50k with 2 kids. Are you going on great vacations and eating at 5 star restaurants? No. But you can cut it. Hell, he was cutting it the last few years.

Granted, if he's divorced it's tougher. And if he's getting remarried it's even tougher.

Moral of the story: Don't get married and don't have kids.

You guys act like Libertyville is a high society suburb. I have friends that live there. It's not a dump. But it's not Barrington, Lake Forrest or Naperville. Those are where the rich people live. Libertyville isn't in that class.

It's Lake County so it doesn't have the higher taxes of the Cook County suburbs either. Cook County people are gonna have to pay double for a coke in a month.

Gas is cheaper in Lake county. So are the hookers. From what I've heard.

My cousin is about Matt's age and works at the United Center in one of the corner bars in the 300 level. Comes out to about a half-time job (41 Hawks + 41 Bulls + playoffs + college games + some concerts) so he sells real estate on the side.
