Goff can't come to work today because he either hurt himself playing basketball or he's too tried from practicing with his cover band. I'm not sure which.

Dan is upset that Ryan Pace won't answer hypothetical questions. "Why won't he answer hypothetical questions? What is he so afraid of?"

Caller: Who do you think is going to win the game?
Dan: I DON'T MAKE PREDICTIONS!

Sounds awful. Solo radio is never good regardless of the host

A caller said the first year under Trestman was one of the best Bears' offenses he's ever seen. Dan mocked him, but I remember Dan Tweeting about Trestman's playcalling that season being "So calm and wise."

I guess Dan is going to pretend he wasn't head over heels in love with Mark Testman (He's a LAWYER!) his first season with the Bears.

Someone's calling praising Trestman. Bernstein was actually amused and not cynically passive aggressive. I could listen to this.

Goff seems to miss a lot of days. Hope he gets replaced soon can't stand him as a full time host.

I'm looking for Bernstein tweets of him gushing over Trestman and his magic offense, and I found this gem:

Yeah he had them Super Bowl contenders under Trestman before one of the two seasons. Can't remember which.

that has nothing to do with his offense.

He and Terry both loved the guy, of that there is no doubt.

I think it is safe to say that Marc Trestman, at one point during his tenure in Chicago, gave Dan Bernstein an erection.

I know, I just thought that Michael Sam tweet was gold. Just a classic Bernstein maneuver: Michael Sam will help the Bears because Michael Sam is gay, essentially.

Yeah Bernsie really went out over his skis for the really smart Trestman.

Most people were surprised/annoyed about the Trestman signing at first, but not Dan. Then the season started and the offense looked good so people started jumping on board and THEN the bottom fell out and you realized he couldn't coach worth a shit.

He also liked Fox initially (real damn coach!) until it was evident he was even less forthcoming than Lovie.

As did Leery. "He's a sharp Trest-man!"

I guarantee you he knows his Jewish accountants, doctors and lawyers didn't play football without asking.

solo dan is a marked improvement over Bernstein and Goff. I cant begin to imagine how awful that interview with Jay Jaffe about the Hall of Fame book wouldve been with Goff interruptions

Yup. I was listening on the way home from work and it was a good listen.

I like Goff and wanted him to succeed as a host but he's horrible at it.

Dan sheepisly admitting he was lying to the audience in the promo they made him do for Cubs Sox was pretty funny. Entertaining.

For those of us no longer listening what did the promo say that was a lie?

The promo made him state how big and important it is, while he has spent years telling people how unimportant it is.

He was funny with it. Kudos.
