Good point about the money. But at some point it's a sunk cost. Granted, they were coasting to the playoffs during the regular season and Heyward sucking didn't matter.

I get teleported into a conversation Dan and Jason were having about Ferguson, reading texts and tweets from people pointing out that antifa's are also anti-American and MANY support communism, one of the deadliest ideologies put to use on this planet, Jason incredulously asking when America was ever great, and talk about a high school basketball prospect who accelerated his eligibility.

They just interviewed Jed Hoyer...talk about stretching your metaphors. In discussing the bullpen as it relates to September callups, Bernstein agreed with Jed's statement saying that extra bodies in the pen will help: "Yeah, it's like adding bread crumbs to your low-leverage meatloaf, right?" Jed must've been thinking WTF.

And then Dan led the witness on the topic of the bullpen dances: "I'm sure you guys are just fine with those, aren't you?" What's Jed going to say? He said they were fun because they arose spontaneously/organically, but he could see them dying out at some point.

I salute a host who prepares for an interview, but with Epstein and Hoyer, DB always comes across as someone trying to impress them.
