Guy had a point about South Shore also known affectionately as the "Silver Coast". South Shore used to be a good neighborhood but it has deteriorated. It was a working class middle class neighborhood for awhile after whites moved out but no more. Everyone that I know who has lived in South Shore has had their apartment or home broken into at some point.
