The real cause of Goff's problems is Drinky. Think about it. Ever since Goff pushed a button on Drinky he's been in a slump. Calling everyone who disagrees with him a racist. Passive aggressively saying he's smarter than Bernstein. Getting political with every topic. He's lashing out. He's trying to justify his new status as the man after banishing Drinky. Trying to prove that he is worthy of being able to push a button on a guy. It's not working well. In the end its okay because the only person we lost is Drinky. And that doesn't matter. Cuz he's a dumbass. |

It's hilarious to hear someone who went into media complain about being criticized. Grow thicker skin or leave the industry. But the more he protests, the more it is obvious that it does indeed bother him. People who aren't bothered by it don't talk about it constantly. |

I still listen, but I believe tons of people have turned it off. Goff is no good and it's showing for a lot of listeners. People listen to the score to get away from the political rants. |

Goff is sports radio's Vinnie "Microwave" Johnson. He can come up and light it up for a few minutes, but if you depend on him over any significant length of time, you're going to be disappointed. |

As one who doesn't watch a lot of sports anymore, for 10 years B&B were my go-to afternoon radio show. I liked the show's direction for the most part, and segments like WYC and Friday Fung were great. Even though Boers had been checked out for the past few years, it was still entertaining. But now, it took me about two weeks to give up on Bernstein and Goff. There are many things I can't stand about Goff - the politics, the race-baiting, the constant laughter, his boring personal stories, his awful phrases (I'm with yah). But for me, what makes him unlistenable is his constant need to hear his own voice and not shut the fuck up. He constantly interrupts people and dominates conversations with guests and his own co-host. All the former things I listed above are just personal preference, but the last issue just shows how bad he is at radio. I understand the point of radio is to talk, but brevity is the soul of wit. Make your point and shut up. Also, I've been a long time lurker of this site, but I finally decided to create a profile and post a bit. Great site! |
