Per Dan, you can get from Gurnee to Miller Park in 20 minutes. According to Google Maps it about an hour.

You can definitely get there in less than an hour. I'd say 30-40 mins from Gurnee if you don't drive like someone Walt's age.

No surprise. Mr. 5'8.5"/"I can turn around a 95mph heater" has already proven that he doesn't understand speed, time, distance and reaction times.

Yeah, but the Wisconsin State Troopers and county like to sit right past the border.

They do. Wisconsin is def not the place to go more than 5mph over. Only state I've seen with emergency vehicle openings every mile.

Does that factor in the stop at Mars Cheese Castle?

They usually wait until Racine County, nowadays.

From my house, I can get to Miller Park in about 40 minutes as long as traffic doesn't suck...It's about 30 to the airport.

Bernstein is a fucking idiot.

I thought the same thing after all the summer & fall weekends I'd go up to Kenosha for youth baseball.

Gurnee (Great America) is 50 miles from Miller Park, so unless Lil' Danny is driving at 150mph he is not getting there in twenty minutes.

I remember when bigfan flipped out because Doug (of all people  ) and I called him on his BS statement that he could get from his place in Wrigleyville to Lake Geneva in under an hour on a Friday afternoon.

I used to make it from Morton Grove to Miller Park in appx 60-75mins doorstep to doorstep back in the day.... And that includes not taking the tollway up to the Wisconsin border!

I can't confirm or deny that there might have been some triple digit speeds involved, especially on the Wisconsin highways, but hey speeding is an artform (ask any trucker) and I'm occasionally a halfway decent artist.... Even if I clutch to Jackson Pollock like "hey at least it's an ethos" </BigLebowski> aka </LetsSeeWhoICanPissOffToday>

Did Bernstein give the answer as to what the Steelers and Bears have in common that no other team has?

My guess was that they have the same style of numbers on their jerseys.

Triple digits? on Wisconsin roads? with Illinois plates? I say this with a heavy heart, but DID. NOT. HAPPEN.

I did 90 on the expressway section of 12 between LG and the state line but it was 2 in the morning. I wouldn't go over 70 in Wisconsin, especially on a speed trap like that one.

bigfan's claim that he did Lake View to Lake Geneva in an hour flat was horseshit, by the way.

Wisconsin upped their intestate speed limit to 70 a couple years ago. You're good at 75 nowadays. Semis cruise past you if you're at 70.

Just don't laugh when the troopers pull you over and talk to you. They sound like the McKenzie Brothers. Speaking of dialect boundaries, there's a huge one up there past Milwaukee, eh?

Was up and down the I-90 corridor today. We stuck to 76. We saw about eight cop cars north of Madison with folks pulled over. But that was nothing compared to the car flipped on its side from an accident on Randall Rd in Elgin at 2:30 today. I also heard tires were blowing out on eastbound I-90 this morning near Rte 59.

I haven't been to Wisconsin since May 2013 and it was still 65 then. But good to know if I go back around the holidays.

70 the whole way from Randall Rd up to New Lisbon (and beyond I assume) but for a stretch near Madison and construction zones. Apparently there is a project going on to widen the highway to three lanes each way from the border through Madison due for completion in 2022. They are working on stretches of that.

Like I said earlier, speeding is an artform dude. And I didn't even cheat with radar detectors.... Like Luke Skywalker blowing up the death Star @ the end of star wars I used the force!

Not my smartest gambits/gauntlets ever, but hey I pulled it off a few times!

Where I'm at in ND the city is pretty much a mash up of people desperate to work from all over the country. I've rarely heard that "Fargo" type accent in the 4 and a half years I've been here. I will say tho, every person I've met from greater MN is just odd. Just socially weird people.
