Anthony Herron in for Goff today. Goff has a little Danny Mac in him when it comes to missing work.

During transition Bernstein said Josh Bellamy was acting like someone who had legitimate talent and wasn't...Josh Bellamy. He said he wanted to make a list of athletes who lack self-awareness and who present themselves in a way that is inconsistent with reality.

Is there a guy who lies about his height and athletic accomplishments who fits that bill? How about a guy who makes himself out to be a ladies man and tough guy but is neither of those things?

Bernstein is well-versed in working with someone who believes they have talent but don’t .

I really like Herron. Pretty good show today.

Agree with you guys—I like Herron and he does not just parrot Bernstein. I haven’t heard any SJW talk today, and with the Flynn news, B&G would have been all over it. And I have also noticed that Goff misses work a lot—many days in the last few months, while most of us miss zero. And he only works part-time.

Herron & Parkins a future possibility?

I caught a little. Talking about how you can't predict relief pichers. Herron agreed. Danny likens it to Goalies in Hockey. Herron was like, that can be explained for analytics and the defense. Atleast this guy calls Danny on his shit.

From what I heard, Herron desperately needs to improve his non-football, non-Cubs sports insight if he is to be a viable on air talent, but the raw material is all there.

Whenever Benrstein would bring up baseball during the time I listened, Herron was reduced to nodding and mhmm'ing if the topic dared stray outside of a Cubs-centric context.

He is, however, MUCH more promising than Mannelly ever was.

Herron is fine. It's refreshing that he actually doesn't need to dominate the show with long winded nonsense and giggling. Bernstein and him have an actual conversation. Herron talks. Bernstein talks. No interruptions or shouting over his partner. Goff could learn from Herron. He won't.
