While I criticize Dan, I like some of what he says. I've said that before. I find him funny and smart at times. Sure, you have to put up with his bullshit. He's baiting you at times. But with Terry, it was easier to get the good out of Bernstein. Goff dominates him. Dan can't finish a thought. Dan can't finish a joke. Dan can't steer the show as Goff goes off on weird/stupid topics and thoughts that dominate a segment. The interruptions and laughing are painful. Goff is a dumb ass SCORE caller that happens to be hosting the show. Goff will call me racist for saying this. But it's true. If a white did what Goff does, I'd say the same thing. |

He's intimidated by Bernstein. Always has been. And when Goff does have a thought, it's just repeating something Bernstein has said for years. Like today. The disappointing part is that Bernstein, at least on air, seems to be cool with being to the current show what Terry was to the old show for about the last five years of his career. He pretty much just says "Mm hmm" and makes the occasional crack while his co-host rambles at will. I really hope he doesn't plan on going on like this for the rest of his career. Has he figured that he's never going national or moving beyond sports to another VERY. IMPORTANT. PLATFORM so he's just phoning it in from here on? I still do enjoy the show on Bears Mondays, the meatball callers, Fox's horrible press conferences and ZZ's gray-skies-are-gonna-clear-up crap are easy cannon fodder that makes for a fun listen. Otherwise? Well, I don't think the current NBA regular season is the greatest thing in the history of sports and want every halfway important game broken down so I'm not really interested. When Terry was around, even when it was obvious he was counting down to retirement, I listened 5 days a week. |

It is pretty simple for me. Bernstein has been my favorite host over the years. You have to understand his shtick and ignore his annoying tendencies but he's still the most interesting, insightful sports talk host around. I listened everyday during the 10 months or so when Bernstein had a random cohost. I listened through all of it and never complained. Rozner and Bernstein are a better show than the last five years of B&B anyways. Nowadays, I make a point to download when I hear Rozner or Herron are filling in. I haven't listened to a show with Goff since August. I stopped listening to Transition with Goff sometime in September. |

Yeah, he’s not doing himself any favors by allowing Herron to audition all the time. The show is very different and much better without all the interruptions, giggling, and SJW content. |

Didn't think that this warranted a new thread, but yesterday Hub suggested that Josh Allen would be a 3rd-4th round draft pick. I couldn't respect him when he was a McCaskey house organ, but I think less of him now |

With Herron, Dan seems to be more likely to venture into esoteric references to show off his knowledge. They were discussing NFL endzone celebrations and he went into this thing about recreating the death of Hamlet or Julius Caesar and using the skull of Del Close because Close had written in his will that he wanted his skull to be used as a prop at Second City. |

When he hit the "Dumb ass cracker" button 20 times per hour. When he hated kids and parents that talked about their kids. Now he talks about how he takes care of his baby and kisses his wife every day. Or fiance. Or whatever she is. After 2 + years of being engaged I don't think you're engaged anymore.
