A play in three acts:
GOFF: I'm tired of hearing about this Bears culture. You never hear about the Patriots culture.
PARKINS: There have been books written about the Patriots culture.
GOFF: Yeah well how'd that turn out?

Goff...what a dipshit.

Bernstein going really hard on not mentioning Titles because the Cubs and Blackhawks mentioned Titles and they won Titles. Parkins said "Intellectually, you know there is no correlation between saying that and winning, right?" but Bernstein won't let it go. So stupid...drowning in minutiae.

Bernstein is getting pretty close to saying "They don't have olive oil or oregano in the house to make homemade croutons? What is wrong with you coloreds?"

I've been away for a while, Rectum Rob. Is this an ongoing thing to call him a dipshit? I've seen it twice in this thread alone.

Going by CH's first post, Goff came off looking like a dipshit in that exchange.

Ah. Thanks. I like that Parkins isn't afraid to go back and forth with them.

Definitely one of Parkins' best qualities as a host.

Parkins may be the best host on the station by miles. He has the I'm a regular guy talking sports. No try hard like Larry or too cool for the room B&G. Only thing wrong with him is gambling talk is boring to me since I don't gamble. But if I were in his shoes I'd sneak in Bullet Club references so the gambling stuff isn't too bad.

Parkins is a real radio host. Great hire by the station. Need a few more like him.

In fairness to Jason, he could have made a good argument had he not already been on his back foot. The Patriot Way is a miserable failure everywhere it's been exported because without Bill Belichick, Ernie Adams, and the creepy organizational loyalty of the Kraft organization, you're not outsmarting everyone, you're just being paranoid and shitty to your staff. It even falls apart for the Patriots when they get caught spying and cheating.

Totally agree, he’s doing it to justify that he doesn’t really like the hire, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like the Bears (I guess as opposed to the Cubs, whom he does hate).

He also mumbled something about “I know we’re supposed to be journalists—neutral and all, but I’m a Bears fan.”

Where did all these guys get the idea they are journalists? They’re sports radio talk show hosts. “Fans talking with fans.” Even the beat guys don’t need to be neutral—some are paid by the teams they cover. I expect sports talk show hosts in Chicago to favor the Chicago teams. You can be critical but still pull for the home team.

The only journalist there is JDC.

That is an odd thing for him to say... none of the hosts should consider himself a journalist. They have one job...to entertain.

It's funny how the only real journalists there (the former newspaper men who have mornings) are not on Twitter.
