I love when Goff is out. The show is terrible when he is there. I would take anyone on with Dan. Anyone... I’ve completly stopped listening all together if Goff is there. Between the weird giggles and the clapping I just can’t take it. His sports thoughts are pretty terrible too.

It's simple. Without Goff, Bernstein and the sub simply have a conversation. Talk, listen, talk.

This is impossible with Goff there.

Call me crazy, but i think the ability to have a conversation is a key to having a good talk show.

Yeap. I literally subscribe to the podcast every time Goff is out in order to download the podcasts and then unsubscribe when he comes back so the show doesn't get the automatic download stats.

This is the main reason I stopped listening to Transition. 3 of the hosts talk and respond to each other. Goff waits for his turn in order to ramble 30 seconds in all sorts of directions.

Dan and Grote are a good pairing because Dan is high-strung with a sense of humor and Grote is easy-going with a sense of humor. When Jason isn't low-talkin' to show how cool he is, he might be even more neurotic and irritable than Dan is. That feedback loop might be why the pairing doesn't work.

Good point. I also left out the 4 minute questions that go nowhere. He also uses lingo that the high school kids are using. Which is equally as cringeworthy as Mike North’s age inappropriate wardrobe.

Transition was GREAT on Friday. 4 guys talking and responding to each other. No long-winded stories. Wish it was always like this.
