Oh fuck, no wonder I can't get any airfare out of DC that afternoon. Thank God I already have my hotel rooms for that week (There for work and hanging out with friends Friday night and Saturday) |

Chet have you tried flying in to Dulles? It beats the hell out of Reagen and you can take a bus to connect to the DC Rail. They need to finish that fucking train that connects to the airport. |

B&G aren't gonna march. They're just are on the air to tell other people how to support a cause. It's a Saturday. Goff has to watch and feed his baby (Goff loves to remind people of this like he's the only one in the world that has to do this.) Bernstein drinks wine with REALLY SMART PEOPLE on Saturday nights. No way they're giving up their weekend to support a VERY IMPORTANT CAUSE. But they're both more than happy to tell you that you should do so. |

I am way too familiar with all three airports, the 5A bus from L'Enfant to Dulles (haven't taken the Silver Line yet), and the #30 Bus from Greenbelt to BWI (hint, no bathroom at Greenbelt...). I've been doing DC trips for 30 years now, since graduate school, and have friends scattered along the Maryland suburbs as well as points west of Dulles. Reagan and Midway have a lot of similarities in terms of how they were updated in the late 1990s. Stay out of Terminal A, and you're fine. I rarely use the subway any more because it's horrible during rush hour. But an Uber from Reagan to the airports on the SE side of Dupont Circle is about $18+tip. And they have Legal Seafood outside of security, which cures all sins. It's the only airport restaurant in the country where I will routinely plan on eating upon landing around 8pm, then take an Uber to the hotel and crash. If you like Dulles, the Hyatt Dulles is often dirt cheap on the weekends. It's been a couple of years since I stayed there as Southwest moved their flights to Reagan, but $79/night wasn't unusual. But the United terminal was "temporary" 35 years ago and United uses that as an excuse to not put a single dollar into it. I mean, it's not the LaGuardia Central Terminal, but it's pretty run down. i really dislike BWI. The rental car lot is halfway to Chicago, the MARC/Amtrak doesn't stop at the terminal itself, and there's no food worth a shit. The protesters won't be the big deal at the airport. It will be the hoards of seventh graders finishing up their weeklong field trip to DC. |

Alexandria,VA is Iraq? Dulles is in Crystal Lake like Hatchet said. And any airport that I need to take a transport to get to a terminal is an airport that I try and avoid. |

Anacostia is Iraq, but nobody has a damn reason to be over there now that they finished the freeway exit ramp to northbound 295 when they built Nationals Park. Crystal City is Rosemont with inferior hotels and restaurants. |
