He is slowly coming around to the realization that there is something seriously wrong with the current show

I thought it was fun early on but towards the end it wasn’t so much fir me. I don’t know, kind of echoes my feelings about the show.

Like doing a poster tournament, the fun is in the reveal and the first round matches. After that, it's a chore and peters out. But as we've said, the funniest joke to come out of the Tournament of Bad was "People Who Say They Can't Find Work" winning just before the banks collapsed in 2008.

It wasn't so much the tournament itself so much as what it represented. It represented that the show liked to have fun. It's why Friday Fung, Quote of the Year, etc. were so enjoyable. Those days are long gone though. Now it's snooze radio.

Oh. I haven’t listened in like a year at least. Are you saying it’s bad because Matt is gone?

Can't find the 2008 Tourney, but in it's place is QotY winner Shawty George Offman.

I think the Youtube crowd has got all of George's malaprops except for one all-timer, wherein George reports that Mario Elle broke his wrist attempting a dump.

It's classic, but I'm still going with Dan McNeil and Terry giving him the business about a "towering line drive"

Combination of Terry being gone and then replacing him with Goff

agreed. the ToB isn't particularly great but just like WYC/FF, it was an attempt at having fun that sometimes had great moments.

is QotY gone as well?

man goff is miserable.

oh wait i forgot. evernight at 5:30 they tell us they will be watching:

a) bulls/cubs/hawks
b) something on netflix
c) a pot while making a broth out of galangal and kaffir lime while your child is watching sports.

riveting and most of the time HILARIOUS radio.

Uh, Goff is all about fun. You must never listen to It's On. That is the definition of fun! :puker:

You don’t get it. People miss B&B and hate what replaced it. Many have, such as myself, have stopped listening which you can see by their drop in ratings and a lack of discussion on this board compared to what B&B produced.

Nah, I get it. People still love talking about anything Dan or Jason says.

Their ratings are pretty much where they’ve always been.

That's great dialogue, but "Skip Perry, Skip Caray, whose pappy was the Legendary Harry and whose son is Skip, died in his sleep last night, make that his son Chip" is a freestanding gem. It's almost a poem.

I don't know that that's true overall, but it is definitely not true relative to the competition.

It was not good well before that, Paterno was roughly the crossing point into mediocrity, and then once Terry was off for long stretches, it was really not worth listening to at all.
