Some interesting takes on Bernstein and McKnight today:

1. Bernstein- PECOTA projections are not an opinion. How can they not be? Granted, they are computer aided, but they're made by a bunch of "experts" at Baseball Prospectus getting together and making value judgments about the relative merits of various stats. How is that not the expression of the opinion of a group of people?
2. McKnight- Anthony Davis is a generational talent. Admittedly, I don't follow the NBA closely, but in my opinion there are only about two or three generational talents that are active at any given time. Lebron, Curry, and Durant would be on that list, Davis wouldn't be.

I wish somebody on air would push back against some of these opinions.

Antetokounmpo and Harden are the leading candidates for MVP this season.

Davis is not a generation player. Beware of big guys that put up big stats on bad teams.(Kevin Love)

Generational talent/player has been the most overused sports phrase for a few years now. There's like 7 "generational" RB's in the NFL right now, including an unemployed 23 year old one.

you'd think a generational talent could lead his team to the playoffs every year.... i mean a true generational talent - LeBron - carried bum ass teams to the finals EVERY YEAR.

you can't be a generational talent if people are doing top-5 lists and he's always the "oh ya that guy, forgot about him"

stat compiler. 2nd option on a contending team.

In a bum ass conference, LeBron won't sniff the finals in the west

You get like three generational players, max. I'd say Crosby, Ovechkin, and Kane would be those in the NHL.
