Rosenthal's parenthetical makes perfect sense if you read it as "a co-host for Laurence Holmes may not be a bad idea, but perhaps a woman would be a bad idea."

If a woman was on the show they'd need a slobber bucket the size of a Streets and San dumpster.

The Score has been having tryouts the past 3 mornings on the morning show.

If only there was a way to try them out with Larry. Nah, that's crazy talk.

Giving Laurence two hours to do media gossip with a woman he likes is going to have people screaming for Bernstein & Goff to come back.

LoHo is just a strange guy. He seemed to do well with the after hours stuff when he had time to waste on comic book reviews, and he could bring on a media friend to bullshit for half the show.

A two-hour shift where he has to have crosstalk with Parkins everyday? Thin-skinned as he is that's not going to be pretty. He's going to have to hang in the hallways quite a bit. Hopefully White Panther makes sure he is still tough.

Yeah, like I've said, the key will for him to do the footballiest football show without the self-indulgent flights of fancy he could get away with in evenings. Talking to Matt Forte about strategy: yes! Talking to Siera Santos for an hour about how interesting it is that different Spanish dialects exist: no!

With Murph's old noon-2 timeslot, Laurence won't really...have time...to eat lunch.

I like Lawrence just fine. In small doses it works great. I am assuming they are mixing things up like this because of the Cubs schedule and all the
day games?

His show is a highlight reel of the previous day's news and then replaying interviews from other shows. He fits in a thought provoking topic like wondering how Cub fans will reset themselves on an off day.

Rivoting!

I am fine with him. Just that scene was odd.
