All it takes is a winning streak and a Bryant home run and we are in full blown blowing of everything Cub. Be warned. Listen or don't. My favorites so far this morning. "Have you seen the progression of Bryant's bat velocity"? "The change in regression on Bryant and Rizzo is 30% if it were stocks I am buying offense on them NOW". "They only need 3-5 more outs per game to be perfect".

This streak to get them back above water was needed and promising. The bipolar nature of this show though is funny. And you have to admit that the station and Bernstein in particular go way hyper when things appear good for Cubs. If there is any truth to DiCaro's claims we know why also. |

Bernstein and McKnight were not down on the Cubs when they started poorly. They recognized it was an aberration. I'm not understanding the angle of this particular thread? |

Well it is this thing that used to go on around here called a show thread. It can be used for any comments about today's broadcast. For me the show began a little over the top for the Cubs. Having blown a game last night after the winning streak. Almosat as if a Cubs person called and asked for a little cover. I love a good conspiracy. |

Prior to talking to Joe Sheehan they played an intro: he writes what Dan Bernstein reads. Yes, even his intro is annoying and pretentious. Sheehan and Bernstein then told us that velocity is the key to pitching. So Kyle Hendricks will not hold-up. Not sure why he has to be on the show when Bernstein repeats his newsletter as his baseball thoughts. |

Did Dan drop another "oppo" on us? Their overly-enthusiastic excitement over metrics is cringe-worthy. I PTB yesterday and went to a Mac/Parkins show from Friday even though it was 3 days old. |

Lets see as you get older or weaker and bring the attendant drop in velocity your ERA rises? Enlightening. I wonder if his radar gun is the only tool he uses to evaluate pitchers? |

Try to imagine Murph saying "well, velocity is the entire key to pitching" and then try to imagine the entire 2:00 hour not being spent on Jason spamming the drop and Dan and Terry making fun of it. |
