In a radio interview with WBBM-AM 780 in Chicago, Conte bluntly said that he would rather die young than not play in the NFL.

“I’d rather have the experience of playing in the NFL and die 10 to 15 years earlier than not play in the NFL and have a long life. I don’t really look toward my life after football. I’ll figure things out when I get there. As long as I outlive my parents…. I’m not saying I’m going to go die when I’m 45, 50. I’m fortunate to go out and play football.”

I am not a legal expert, how many times do I have to say it?

I agree. And I don't believe his statement had any racial connotations from his point of view. But he would never give someone else that same benefit of the doubt. So fuck him.

Also, I was watching an American Experience on coal mining last night. And the statement was made that mine operators viewed the miners as less than human. I don't doubt that some- perhaps many- owners of pro sports franchises feel the same way about their players. But I would argue that the impact of that isn't the same when the pay scale is such that a shrewd and prudent employee has the ability to put himself in a better financial position than the guy signing his checks.

It was funny how the white collar residents looked so far down on the miners, even to the point of the Vigilance Society. Or believed that anyone outside of West Virginia saw much of a distinction between them.

If you listened to Bernstein before he evolved you heard several subtle racist comments from him. Several.

I always found it funny that Goff thought North and McNeil were the "Bad whites". And considered Bernstein "one of the good ones".

Goff's hate and contempt for Mac always puzzled me. North I got. He actually is a "Bad white". But I always thought Mac was good to Goff. Yet Goff considered him a racist for some reason.

Bernstein is probably more of a racist than North. I always tried to tell Goff this. I think he now realizes that I was right. He'll never admit it, though.

North is ignorant and not very bright, but he's also kind of guileless. What you see is what you get with him. Bernstein, on the other hand, will scream injustice from the roof tops, while deep down thinking he is superior to absolutely every one around him.

Many people are like that. But like Bernsie rich Black family no problem. Other situation he is calling the authorities and homeowner association daily.

The bigger tests that I love to see when people with strong ethnic or backgrounds are faced with the choices of their children. Way back Bernsie demanded his potential woman must be a Jew and not get fat. Many are like this especially Asians, Greeks and East Indians.
