Into not hiring Tony Larrussa.

There's no doubt about it. It's a clear agenda with Bernstein. It's a 1% shot at best that he gets hired. But he wants his message to get through that Tony is a racist in his mind. To kill that 1% chance. And the White Sox are hearing this from him. Rick and Kenny have nothing better to do then to listen to his show cuz of Covid.

He's replaying the quotes of Larussa saying Kaperknick was wrong 4 years ago for the kneel down protest. Tony said it was about the flag and Military. We know Bernstein's stance on that. Then he's calling him "Tony Ditka".

He pounded this yesterday. He's pounding it today.

B&B were anit Larussa for years. Cuz of his drunk driving and throwing at batters and all the Larussa bullshit through the years.

Not saying Bernstein is wrong. But if Hauhn and Reinsdorf do this, does that mean they are racist or support racism. I mean, those two guys are Jewish. And Bernstein always goes out of his way to say that the Jewish executives are "REALLY REALLY SMART".

Would he change his mind about them if they hire him. Or should he change his mind over the simple fact that they are interviewing a racist? Doesn't that make them dumb?

Why is LaRussa racist? He didn't like the kneeling protests?

Yep. According to Bernstein.

I don't think Bernstein has much influence these days, his popularity and visibility seem to be waning. I doubt Reinsdorf, Hahn or anyone else in the White Sox organization give a damn what Dan thinks either, there's also probably very little chance the Larussa thing has any legitimacy.

Re-tweeted from Julie...

This is how the world works. People who have successful resumes are often hired instead of newbies.

Post subject:  Re: Bernstein is trying to publicly shame the White Sox

I've got another question.

It's known that Reinsdorf have been friend for decades. Even after Hawk fired Larussa in 1986, Jerry and Tony have been tight.

Shouldn't Bernstein break up that relationship because Tony is racist?

I remember Bernstein once saying about black athletes once they make it big, that they should stop being friends with their old buddies from the hood. Those that were gang bangers or of bad character.

If Bernstein thought that rule applied to poor black guys growing up, shouldn't it apply to a couple of rich white guys? Why doesn't Bernstein think that Jerry should denounce the racist Larussa? Why did Jerry make Rick interview a racist?

Just thinking out loud. Ya know, Bernstein teaches me so much. He's got that Duke education. I'm just an idiot so I listen to him.

I just want to know why the rules are different in his mind. I think they should be the same. Should be the same rule for the 20 year old black guys as it should be for the 75+ year old millionaire white guys. They should both get away from the bad guys once they make it big, right?

Well the man who has the ear of Mr. Reinsdorf says differently

Remind Dan that Larussa is a lawyer. Dan will immediately change his opinion.

You don't think Rick Hahn is taking counsel from the chief offender of station that is unabashedly WCUB.

I really love this current version of Bernstein. He is toothless. He has the lowest audience of any daypart at the station and loses a part of his lead in audience, which subsequently returns when he is off the air. He is on at a time few can listen. His thoughts make zero impact outside of his show and listeners. It's Bubble Boy Bernstein.

Why was Bernsie calling him Tony Ditka? Just trying to draw out meatball calls?

Bernstein and Goff used to accuse the entire Cardinals organization as being racist. I recall conversations about Tommy Pham and Dexter Fowler being treated unfairly.

Post subject:  Re: Bernstein is trying to publicly shame the White Sox

I just want to know why Bernstein isn't coming down hard on the Jewish guys. Reinsdorf and Haughn?

Because clearly they haven't said this report of hiring the racist LaRussa isn't true. Clearly they're interviewing him.

So even if it's bullshit, why bother with the charade of interviewing a racist? Why?

Why doesn't Bernstein come down on them for doing so? If he's gonna attack LaRussa he should also attack the "REALLLY REALLY SMART JEWISH GUYS".

But he won't.

Bernstein wants you to know that he's not racist because him and his wife decided to live in Chicago because he wanted his kids to see brown people.

I've got this image of Dan from his front yard, his north side white community, which is mostly white, that happens to be in Chicago...

Dan: Look, Jason and Zowie....there's one...a black... walking down the street.. Let it be known that your Dan exposed you to these people. My parents never did this for me in Deerfield. I'm evolved. Now get back inside. He might have a gun.

I heard tranny yesterday between the morning show and Bernstein. Mully was badgering bernsie to apologize to bob nightengale over his initial TLR reporting (which apparently was correct? Idk, mully is tough to follow).

Cornered Bernstein is an entertaining Bernstein. Mully was really white knighting for nightengale for some reason.

That was actually a good listen. Bernstein came across as very insecure and dumb.

Completely. He was straining to explain why he didn’t say what he had clearly said the day before. It was like a child who was caught doing something he was told not to do.

And his Tony Ditka rant today was embarrassing.

I disagree with Larussa’s comments but Bernstein is so obnoxious he makes me almost want to side with Larussa.

Bernstein would benefit from a la russa hiring in the same way cable news benefits from the opposite party in power. It’s a content machine.

As a Sox fan, I refuse to believe Rick Hahn hires him after that presser.

Seems someone is going to bring in an old school baseball approach, after all sports as with everything else are cyclical in nature. Some team will look for contact guys over launch angle guys, start coaching guys to shorten up swings and go the other way against shifts, start stealing bases, and (gasp) use the sacrifice bunt.

I don’t see the sac bunt coming back with any regularity
