Come on, she has to move off this obsession with defending Fields. Both Patrick and Lamar had pretty weak receiving cores, and yet they overcome that because they are great. The QB is by far the most significant component to winning. Sure, you can stack the team like the Niners and a limited QB can thrive, but it is much more sustainable in a salary cap world to have a great QB. And this is obvious to most fans.

It seems most can see what you saying. Some shows and hosts I can see being so dumb as to not get this. I simply assume these goofs and Parkins and Spiegel are playing their parts in the talk narrative.

1. Dan's body language suggests to me he is disagreeing with everything Leila is saying.
2. Was it Dan that used to joke about some older men looking like aging lesbians, or was it someone else? In any event, he is looking like one.

Generational QBs are hard to find. About once every generation. So it's not obvious to me the stacking is not a legit way to go about things. We are TOLD that it's obvious. We are bombarded that it's obvious. It's only obvious in NE and KC.

What a strange argument. You need a top flight QB to win consistently. Are there exceptions? Sure, but someone needs to explain to her that trying to win with a backup level passer is extremely difficult and would likely not be sustainable without the rest of the team picking up that lack of production.

I also don't know why we need to a week in review of Leila's thoughts because she isn't there everyday. If you want to give updates, be there everyday, host your own podcast, or write an article. Her thoughts are strange and best, but probably well into stupid and uninformed.

It's not just her, it's all three. They are cultists - Dan isn't allowed to scurry away like he was never part of the pro-Bustin crowd. They are cultists and at least two of the three still outwardly profess dumb cult ideas.

When a cultist reforms, you must allow him back into the fold. Otherwise these people realize they’re wrong yet are left adrift.

Exile the true believers; help those who realize their mistake.

of course the QB gets all the blame. That's why they get 40 million per when they are great and 20 when they are merely good

Can we dispel the myth that the Bears failed Fields. That might have been true in year 1. In year 3 they gave him a top 10 WR, a top 10 TE and a top ten running game. We all acknowledged this was the year of no excuses, but so many sit here still making excuses. He wasn't good enough

they had no problem blaming Jay Cutler who went through numerous OC changes, minimal receiver threats, only two years of greg olsen and never had an offensive line worth a damn.

shes basically wondering why the boers and bernstien show isnt called that anymore. just because terry left, isn't it still the same show? why does all of the blame go on the hosts?

lea, normally i would text you but my phone is dead. i dont understand why the batteries get all the blame, when theres so many other problems with these stupid things?

people dont understand you need to focus on all of the other problems. fuck the elephant in the room, nobody should be worried about that. the new england patriots didnt need tom brady. the bucs could have won that superbowl with justin fields that year.

There wasn't a Cutler cult, but there were plenty of us who thought he might end up in a wheelchair. Tom Brady would have thrown interceptions wondering if he didn't get rid of this oblong leather thing, somebody might snap his spine.

Cutler had really good weapons for maybe 2-3 years, like historically good (for Chicago). He was another one of these guys who didn't take what the defense gave him and therefore took to long to throw.

And yet you regularly asserted that he was good enough to be traded for a first-round pick.

Your value is what the market says it is. I have to abide by that publicly. Privately, I think the market acted irrationally and I could make a compelling case in support. A one may be a reach on my part but am I not allowed my enthusiasms for my team?

On the day they traded for Cutler, I said he was the best QB in Bears history. That may (sadly) be true. I own two Bears jerseys- Hester and Cutler. So I am not giving Bernsie shit for something most of us were very excited about.

To be fair, that reaction was pretty widespread amongst fans and local media alike. I remember Mully going on about how the Bears now have the best QB in the division. That was after Rodgers 2nd season as a starter.

I felt really good. The Bears made a bold move. Didn’t work out.

How about the reaction to the acquisition of Nas' guy Mack after his 1st game? (an unfortunate loss). Nothing but love for Pace!
