I didn't catch exactly how he said it but Parkins basically said he is not a real Jew and is working. Bernsie and Spiegel were off. They strike me as Christmas, Easter, Sacrament dos Catholics. Related, do the Jewish or Muslims among us get extra PTO days when they do their religious days that are not national holidays? Or is it a bonus to convert?

I dunno, but I converted to Judaism just so I could tell Jewish jokes.

He was cooking a blade roast and doing some house cleaning while his son was about to head out for a round of golf.

one day less in the studio pretending to be interested in islam - all to patronize leila. likely tells leila behind the scenes that islam took from judaism and that she's really jewish.

living the dream is mocking christians and having a show on hebrew calligraphy. he's lived it and will live it again.

i believe you're correct. she is the show's expert on islam when dan pretends to be interested in the meaning/reason of particular muslim holiday/holy day and leila responds with authority - perhaps her father taught her all what she knows in regards to islam. iranians are shias, what she may say, it is not uniformed in islam.

just by chance; dan will then quickly tell her that the holiday sounds similar to the meaning/reason of a particular jewish holy day/holiday. i don't believe dan's motivation is curiosity, it's to hammer home the importance of judaism to islam. dan knows exactly how the muslim holiday/holy day is linked to judaism before he asks leila anything.

i've heard that more than once from them and i agree with where dan's ends the brief exchange - from the historical and the religious angle. though i believe dan does that to come off as sounding inquisitive and accepting to islam. would get himself in trouble if he told us his true feelings about islam, vis-a-vie israel.
