I don't know who's producing the "Boers & Bernstein Show" this afternoon on 670 The SCORE, but get those random soundbites ready right now. That's because Peyton Manning will officially be introduced in a 2p (CT) Press Conference, complete with Broncos' Owner Pat Bowlen & Executive V.P. John Elway in attendance. If you are a frequent "B & B" listener, you know what that means.

Chances are better than even money that random soundbites in the "B & B" sound vault aren't far behind while Peyton, Pat & John address the media live at what's now called Sports Authority Field following the 2p "Scoreboard Update" and the legal ID. That's not the only thing Terry & Dan B. will be discussing.

The Bulls are not only coming off head coach Tom Thibodeau's 100th career win, but a historic 85-59 win over the Magic in Orlando that also set a franchise record for the fewest points allowed in a regular season game. The Bulls continue to win minus Derrick Rose, who says his groin is improving, but likely won't play in the home-and-home with the Raptors tomorrow night in Toronto and Saturday night at United Center.

There's also talk via ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the Heat and Thunder are atop Derek Fisher's wish list, even though Derek wants to play with the Bulls first & foremost now that he's been bought out by the Rockets. The Blackhawks, complete with Corey Crawford in net tonight, drop the puck come 6p in Columbus. Plus, how serious is VCU head coach Shaka Smart in the Illinois vacancy and could Bill Carmody be on borrowed time at Northwestern? All of that and more between now & 6p when Jason Goff (YES!) takes over the nighttime SCORE. The game plan, plus more "games" to be played in the "Tournament of Bad", coming up...

Fisher is a downgrade from JL3 at this point SHARK.

Well, John Lucas III did his best Reggie Miller imitation last night, Phil. He scored 3 quick treys to end the 1st quarter in last night's historic win in Orlando. Unfortunately, because Miller, Kevin Harlan, Len Elmore & sideline reporter Marty Snider are en route to Phoenix for Turner Sports' call of the NCAA West Regional Thursday, TNT sent Matt Devlin, Chris Webber & David Aldridge to witness the history-making event last night.

Updating an earlier story...According to Chris Mannix, the NBA scribe from Sports Illustrated's Twitter, the Thunder are unlikely to offer anything more than a rest of season proposal for Derek Fisher. Adrian Wojnarowski, the Yahoo! Sports' NBA scribe adds that the Spurs are not interested in the journeyman point guard.

Larry got so excited talking about sex that Spiegs had to tell him to slow down.

Did Rodewald just say Cabrera is out with a fractured eye?!? How do you fracture an eye?

He got hit in the eye during a Spring Training game yesterday for the Tigers. Meanwhile, NFL Network's Albert Breer has Tweeted the following as The SCORE prepares for the 2p Press Conference in Denver. Check it out:

I don't trust any site that has the proper s plural replaced with a z. This is why you won't see me on chicagobearz.com anytime soon.

It's a photo of Peyton Manning's Broncos' jersey, guys. Frank Tripucka has given the Broncos the green light for Manning to sport the #18.

He'll be on tonight at 6p on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com. With Laurence subbing for Mac this week, Goff's got an airshift this eve. :D

Dan's tuxedo argument is stunningly bad.

What is he justifying whering a Tux to a wedding when you're not part of the wedding party?

Like he did at Drinky's wedding?

"Everyone needs a tuxedo."

No they don't jerk.

I'll proudly wear my tuxedo t-shirt to formal events.

That's what happens when your team signs Prince Fielder to a 9 yr / $214 mil contract to play your position.

A "Tournament of Bad" candidate next year: The Detroit Tigers' Infield? I've heard less than flattering things since the Tigers signed Prince in the offseason...

Caught a bit of Hershiser and Francona calling the tigers/braves spring training game on espn over lunch.

Hershiser said something to the effect that when your infield is as bad as Detroit's is going to be this season, all your starters
try to become strikeout pitchers, which drives up their walk totals, as they try to avoid pitching to contact.

If Dan's rationale for not renting a tux is that one shouldn't wear something that's been farted in, then how can he tell people to buy pre-worn tuxedos from a rental? They've been farted in!

I just hope that Dan Bernstein also brings his own chair wherever he goes.
