Going to try to keep this semi updated with the seasonal and ever changing straw man arguments and memes that Dan and Terry use. If this idea goes badly, I'm looking forward to it dropping off the first page and never spoken of again like most Eaglo Jeff jokes. NBA - White basketball sucks - The regular season doesn't matter - Arguing that LeBron is the GOAT while ignoring numerous playoff failures -Can't be a 'true' NBA fan if you ignore how good LeBron is which no one does NHL - Talk more hockey/stop talking hockey - Baiting callers who think fighting matters - Basically reading SCH articles on the air NFL - Never draft a white running back - Any player who is complimented with intangibles sucks MLB -Cub fans think Reed Johnson is a great player -Juan Pierre is the worst thing to ever happen to professional baseball Universal Truths -There is no such thing as momentum -Only parades matter. Any season that doesn't end with one is a failure -Stats don't lie -No such thing as 'clutch' or being better in a particular moment |

Bernstein never called him a "sniveling coward". Not even close. He just said he was disappointed in his decision. Boers has NEVER changed his stance, and they even argued about it. Boers didn't even have a problem with "the decision". |

The straw man is an alternative weaker position that someone excoriates to dismiss the actual argument. So it wasn't just me? It wasn't just time times I happened to tune in the last two days? It seemed like every time I did tune in they weren't talking about...anything. It can entertaining, and sometimes the best part of a show, when the hosts take a break from a more structured format and just BS for a little while but it seemed like that's all they were doing for the whole show. I can't even remember what they were talking about because it was just inane...like they didn't know they were on the radio. I was looking forward to Terry being gone but didn't listen any more the last two days than I do when he's there. Tomorrow it's the contrived smarm of Rosenbloom and his never-emptying mouthful of saliva and then, what, two days of Laurence. Fuck all that.

I've really, really soured on Jason lately. He brings nothing to the table, and he's got a really enormous opinion of himself that ruins any observations he has on sports, which is pretty much I listen in the first place. |
