The guys are on the road today, and thankfully not singing "I Love This Bar" by Toby Keith this afternoon from 1:15-ish to 6P. Instead, Terry & Dan B. will broadcast live from the actual Toby Keith's I Love This Bar in Rosemont.

The guys will be busy trying to juggle Bears/Packers & Tigers/White Sox talk to a point where Gary from Evanston's favorite segment won't be heard this afternoon come 5P. How busy are the guys this afternoon? Check this out...

*2P: White Sox/CSNC/The SCORE's Steve Stone-Tigers/White Sox Finale
*2:40P: Cubs/WGN's Len Kasper-Goodbye Houston! Sponsored by Budweiser
*3:30P: "The Second Half"
*4P: WBBM/Bears Radio Network's Zach Zaidman-Live from Green Bay
*4:30P: "NFL on FOX"/NFL Network's Brian Billick-Working Vikings/Colts Sunday
*5P: The SCORE's Laurence Holmes-His View of Bears/Packers
*5:30P: Green Bay Press-Gazette's Rob Demovsky-Eye on The Packers

The news that Jim Calhoun is retiring will likely elicit a well-articulated commentary from Terry about how much he's always hated him.

Apologies to JORR...

This guy, I mean, *sigh*, look, you won't find a bigger piece of crap...

[Jason turns on his mic to laugh]

...what a piece of human garbage. I mean, look...if you don't think everyone knew, and I've known for YEARS what an asswipe this guy is, that Jim Calhoun is...

If Terry can at least give a couple examples of things Calhoun has done as reasons why he hates him, fine, but I anticipate him just talking in circles and throwing out "asswipe" and "piece of crap" three or four times before Dan gets annoyed and cuts him off with a station ID as they go to a commercial.

It'll likely be at the top of the 3:00 hour, when Dan has finished getting through the important topics (i.e., things he wants to say) and throws Terry one of those "...and before we went to break, Terry, you said you had some Jim Calhoun stuff you wanted to get to?" scraps. O/U for number of sentences Terry begins with "I mean, this is a guy..." is set at 17.5.

Pretty solid guest list, I'm good with today's show. The more guests, the less time they have for dumb rants about Jim Calhoun retiring.

Damenzo's on Taylor, just west of the Juvey had a great beef. The bread was pretty soft, so you didn't have to ask for dipped. Made it less messy. They had a jumbo beef that was absolutely huge. I'd had both the sweet and hot peppers and both were more than satisfactory. Not sure if it is the same after the fire.

In this thread? Don't sell yourself short, Mr! It could end up being more informative and lucid than anything we hear from 1-6pm today.

Foreskingreg! Who is this sharp barb aimed it?

If it is aimed at myself, I must say, it has split my heart asunder!

Who? Any of them? I don't think ANY of those four are 70 years old.

I submitted it before I even read your post. It was aimed at no one, in particular. Just wanted to get in on the gif party. That's all.

Well, I'm not surprised that Jim Calhoun is going to announce his retirement as Connecticut men's head basketball coach at a press conference scheduled for the top of next hour. Besides sanctions that'll prevent UCONN from participating in next year's NCAA Tournament due to low graduation rates and Boers' overall disdain for the guy, as well as UCONN Women's HC Geno Auriemma, Calhoun's health has waned in recent years and a recent accident he was involved in appeared to accelerate Jim's retirement from basketball at age 70.

Seems pretty straightforward to me, Sharkford.

I'm not sure I follow. Are you saying that Boers' disdain for Calhoun is partly responsible for the NCAA's sanctions against UCONN?

You know what really got Joe Paterno fired? Not the Sandusky stuff. It was Terry Boers's disdain.
