Was hoping when I heard that Wade Boggs was coming up that they'd play that clip of him they wore the hell out of a couple years ago...awesome.

Those are the two words that Holmes should say after the whole DX/WWE reference in the open to his nighttime SCORE.

Those are four words.

Also, Terry doesn't call him "Laurence 'DECAF PLEASE!' Holmes."

So much dishonesty, SHARK. It's disappointing.

The "DECAF PLEASE!" is SHARK's term.

Then why do you attribute it to Terry? He doesn't say it, yet you tell us that he does.

Can you please clarify that in future posts?

Holy fuck is Bernstein being an overdramatic diva. He's definitely overselling his Sox "dread" to hide his Cubbie heart.

Sounds more like "yeah yeah it sucks but at least my team won once." Cool story, bro: the Red Sox won twice and all of New England is undergoing a massive shitlosing because they're having one down year.

I heard SCORE producer Herb Lawrence expressing dread about the team he actually produces games along the White Sox Radio Network during the week with Joe Ostrowski the other night during the "Ask Herb" segment on Laurence's nighttime show. He didn't sound all that optimistic that these Sox would be able to hang on, and so far, he's right on the money.

I'm happy to hear the White Sox are exempt from Bernstein's championship or season is a failure policy.

I expect at the top of the 4:00 hour he will again reference an email from one of the many White Sox fans he knows, which will reiterate that "it's funny how when you've won a championship recently [which the Cubs have not], it just doesn't matter anymore." I don't expect any of these emails from his Bulls friends in a few months, at which point it will be "THIS ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH, I WANT BANNERS!"

You mean...

Bernstein: "How does this make you closer to a Championship?"

Yeah, but the whole Red Sox Nation meltdown is really nothing more than an inverted form of narcissism. New Englanders have to represent themselves as either the best or the worst because both alternatives place them at the center of a certain kind of universe. They would never admit to being "just" average.

That's a good point. It's even worse when their flag-carrying sportswriters weave it into something related to being the sons of forever-miserable Puritans. Barf.

Whatever; Dan got WYCed for it, so the universe has apportioned its karma and we can move on.

Right. Because he's a HUGE Bulls fan and doesn't really give a shit about the Sox.
