PTFB.

This show is horrible.

Bunch of fucking douchebags.

That should be the first post following every show preview thread.

That whole segment was a low point in the shows history.

And that is saying something.

Doug being a cancer survivor would probably not be happy with all of this.

I must've forgotten why a radio station with the "best Bears coverage in Chicago" or whatever the tagline is can't have their two reporters ask these desired football questions?

I hate Mike Muller. It's like if Steve in Bolingbrook had a dealership.

There's a spot where he's like "ya can prolly tell by my voice dat I'm naht a perfessional brahdcaster." Then fucking don't insist upon voicing your own spots like so many hopelessly vain pissants who own dealerships.

Dan should write a book called The Power of Negative Thinking.

Dr Bernstein of all people should know that any doctor will tell you it's not just medicine, it's your frame of mind. If you find inspiration in Lance Armstrong, who cares?

It's important to Dan for those people who used Livestrong as inspiration to know that everything they used to prepare their mind and find the fight needed to do the hard work to recover, it's important that they know everything they thought was a lie.

Important radio.

So if someone finds inspiration in Lance Armstrong, the guy that beat cancer, that is essentially a lie? Is that what you mean Doc?

I'm saying that it seems very important to Dan Bernstein for people that used the story of Lance Armstrong to improve their mental outlook to understand that that positive memory of using Livestrong for inspiration is a complete lie.

You forgot the part about BernSTINE needing to desperately prove that those cancer patients who looked to Armstrong for inspiration or whatever are small minded, needy, not real adults and should listen to his show for better ways to deal it.

Ok. I just don't necessarily put the two together.

He is a liar and a cheater, but cancer is not something that you can cheat. I have family members that have beaten cancer by not following what the AMA is selling and though difficult, I trust cancer patients to see the difference.

Are there people that really think that Lance Armstrong, himself or his personal spirit or whatever, that Lance Armstrong himself cured them of cancer?

I'm surprised the whole religion angle and praying against disease hasn't come up yet. That's the "meatball heaven" for the likes of B&B. Weeks worth of programming.

Hypothetically speaking, and without sarcasm, just what would make a better show? Let's be realistic here. Don't give me any crap about Bernstein treating callers better. That won't happen (nor should it, IMO). But what makes a better show? This question is for anybody, BTW.

I already know my answer: Less direction and less focus on specific topics. When they allow the conversations to go all over the map, the show is more enjoyable for me.

Not reading 5 pages so this may have already been mentioned, but the last time I really laughed during this show was when they were playing random tv themes...i have no idea why they were doing it, but it was awesome.

Im not entertained when they try to get me to think, which is what Bernstein seems to think this gig is all about. Ive got plenty of outlets for that. Just make me laugh.

Wrong side of the punch there.

I think there are people who used his battle with it as an inspiration.

As for the second part, are you sure you want to be giving them anymore "show" ideas?

Kid Cairo, do you have the John Madden acid reflux segment? I know I usually ask you to post good radio, but...

Great B&B interviews:
John Madden
Orlando Ledbetter
Carlos Marmol
Josh Beckett (Boers and Matty, it was during the All-Star Break and Beckett just went "well, bye" and hung up on them after like two minutes)
