It's almost the offseason. That's when the "MLB doesn't care about attendance, they care about regional sports networks" talk begins.

I am unable to listen at the moment, but in what context could they possibly be talking about this and not be retreading earth that has already been salted ten times over?

As President of the White Sox, Kenny Williams will have to be the new Howard Pizer and do something about WHITE SOX ATTENDANCE. (I hope he doesn't just go around telling business partners to stay out of White Sox business.) Then they all lamented that the magnanimous Jerry Reinsdorf has done everything anyone could possibly ask of him and there's no excuse for not going to games, though Terry at least had the balls to suggest "maybe fans just don't have any money." Then Dan said he had an idea to give out "membership cards" that would work as debit cards for tickets over the course of a season. This isn't appreciably different at first glance from buying season tickets, but it was treated as semi-revelatory nevertheless.

I guess that's why Dan gets paid the big bucks. I don't think I'd have the temerity to sustain a near constant, months-long bubbling rage over White Sox attendance. Maybe that's why he seems like such a miserable prick most of the time.

So they conveniently lead the show off with an email from someone who wants to know how many times writers in Chicago are going to write the same Brandon Marshall column. This is the same non-story Dan was trying to make a story yesterday and now they can talk about it again today because Dan wants to...um, I mean, an emailer brought it up.

Is Fred Williamson on today?

To be honest, I'd prefer Tree Rollins over either of them.

Henry Rollins is actually a pretty good interview.

Why is it wrong of me to personally prefer an interview with Tree Rollins over Fred Williamson or Richard Roundtree?

I would ask Tree Rollins about that infamous highlight of Jordan putting him in the rim.

It's not wrong, Tad. It's just that the guys don't have any of those guys scheduled. As far as Fred Williamson calling in is concerned the other day, remember what Bernsy always says at the opening of every "B & B Show" about "surprises along the way..."

Has Dan mentioned this http://deadspin.com/5955230/poll-lance-armstrong-more-popular-than-obama-among-americas-youth yet? There's at least a couple of segments worth of stuff in there.

I know they were probably trying to mock Tyler Hansbrough, but the way Matty was reading it he sounded like Garry Meier.

Garry is dyslexic. Why is he ever made to read copy?

Legitimately? Maybe he sounds like that because he's so self-conscious and worried about messing up the read? He sounds very wooden and awkward.
