So you're saying it is a penalty?

The ball punch will not be illegal as long as the aggression is a football play attacking the football, or thereabouts. I have seen him miss in a scrum. Honestly, the punch is not worse than some of the other stuff going on in the scrum. It just happens to be a fist punch as opposed to knee to the throat, elbow to the kidney etc.

It's not like Tillman is the only guy attempting the ball punch. He just happens to be much better than anyone else so it draws more attention than the other guys.

ALL of their Bears post-game shows should be buried, as well as their pre-game shows...and probably all the ones in between. These guys know very little to nothing about football so it's difficult for them to really comment on it in an intelligent, Matt Bowenesque way - which is the only way Dan will allow himself to comment on anything. So as a result, you get days like today where there is no comment at all. Then they screen in bad callers just to make a joke of everything. I'll admit it's funny at times, but boy has this shtick worn thin.

By the way, when are they going to rip Billick for being a horrible broadcaster? They rip everyone else when that person makes a flub or mistake, but apparently Billick is untouchable, even though his segment usually sucks.

Unfortunately yes. Dan being a smarmy, intolerant d-bag for five hours is not good radio. He's basically been reviewing and critiquing calls. He sounds like the most miserable bastard in the world-bit or not.

Yes, I've noticed that.

Their Bears Monday (or Tuesday) shows are the worst because they seemingly come in ready to be angry with callers before the phone even rings. The show is far less fun following a Bears game..

Couldn't have out it better myself. He was a carbon copy of my brothers peevish 10 yr old, who is barely tolerable at that age.
