I am unfamiliar with this D'Antonio fella.

D'Antoni. Whoops.

If so, who cares if the Bears and Cutler played out there with a concussion for a little while. He knows the dangers. One of the dangers is undiagnosed concussions.

That's one of the stupid and selfish things about Bernstein's stance. He cares about concussions, but not to the point where he would support actual rules that would make the game safer for concussions because it would change the game too much.

Past that, even before Cutler was concussed, there was a huge risk of concussion just by it being an NFL game. Shouldn't Cutler be kept off the field before the game even starts if that's the case? So he got another one, big deal. Gladiator up Jay. Has Berstein ever defined what an acceptable risk of concussion is?

So now Dan is seriously arguing that doctors should have diagnosed Cutler with a concussion earlier--despite his not exhibiting any symptoms--because...it looked like a concussion to Dan?

It's pretty clear to me that Cutler should be sat down for the year, based on the opinion of Dan Bernstein.

Dan should have said Cutler was intimidated by the Houston D. I think that's what set Schuster off.

No, Schuster said Rose was intimidated and Dan got all mother-hen about it.

Then quit bitching about it, dickhead.

Now they're declaring concussions left and right?! They just said "your telling me that wasn't a concussion" in regards to Kellen Davis falling after blowing that catch in the 4th...

Of course he can answer it. He just doesn't like the answer.

You could literally make it illegal to hit a QB, but he's down as soon as you put your hands into him above the waste. Basically, QB's would be tackled by a push.

Now, the NFL would kind of suck, but I don't spend 4 hours a day getting upset that a football player got hit in the head.

as well he should be. what kind of a mouthbreathing inbred calls up sports shows?

Incidentally, this thread got me thinking about our hero jerking off.... Do you think he watches porn and scoffs at certain maneuvers begging the question "HOW DOES THAT GET YOU CLOSER TO AN ORGASM?!!?"

That's what he yells in the bedroom.

So Lil Danny and Boers will routinely ridicule a caller who call into more than 1 show with the same thought or point theyre trying to get across yet its ok when Matt brings up the same stupid fucking point about Michaels saying " of course" concerning the wind when Gould missed the fg but the flags on the goal posts werent even moving that he brought up on Mac's show 6 hours earlier.

They're jerks. Even when they're right about a point, they still come off like a couple of d-bags.

I wonder if Berns has figured out yet why he went from a rising star in the sports broadcasting business both locally & nationally, to a dead end career with no interest from anyone?

He hosts a drive time talk show in the third largest market in the country. Do you call that a failure?

@scorehead: That may be pushing it. For every guy like me who completely stopped listening, it seems like there are ten or more dedicated listeners (judging by the board responses) that are in "what will he say now" mode.

Any show that makes you hate sports is not worth a listen. But that's just my opinion. I tend to get excited when my teams win a regular season game or take a division title. And you can never have enough clutch players.

Bernstein gets to live in his hometown and be an asshole for 5 hours a day. For this he is handsomely compensated.

In the game of life, Dan Bernstein is a winner.

He really is. And when he's done playing jerkball for the day, he goes home and seems to really enjoy his family life. Good for him.

I've always wondered this.....

How exactly are you related to Bernstein?...... Wife? Mistress? Best friend? Brother?? Sister??

You polish his knob more than anyone on this board. Surely you are his wife or mistress, right?
