I laughed at the first few skits on Carol Burnette. As was said, it was very repetitive. It was the 80's Two And A Half Men. Put a wig on a 35 year old woman and she's 70. Mmm...k.

Sorry man. I think that show is crap. My mother used to watch that garbage when I was a kid, and we had to sit through it because we could not veto her programming decisions.

There was a lot of crap I remember having to sit through when I was a kid, too. It was long before the growth of cable, satellite and the "information superhighway".

Back in early 1989 a young beni worked for a dump hotel that somehow still had a "Clarion" name. I got to play doorman for the lovely Vicki Lawrence (Thelma-Mae). Quite charming. I felt bad taking her to the "nice" indoor pool view room smelling of smoke, mold and chlorine. She deserved better. We didn't have it.

SHARK, I know you live around the Addison and Harlem area. Did you ever spend time in your youth (or adulthood) perusing the vinyl at Rolling Stone Records in Norridge?

As a matter of fact, I have over the last 3 years. In fact, Rolling Stones Records is still there today. One of the few record stores still in business, especially in an era of downloading, iPods, MP3, etc.

Along those lines, here's something the guys might want to discuss in the "Second Half"...

Apparently Dan went on a football hiatus(and hianus) during the Ron Wolf years of the Green Bay Packers.

What is Bernstein talking about? Didn't Watt not get a sack against the Bears? And saying a tackle after a sack is redundant.

I know your list was not meant to be all inclusive, but the 49ers not only drafted a QB to be a backup, they drafted a QB as a backup and then dropped the starter as soon as possible as soon as they thought he was ready.

49's kind of did. At least he was a back-up plan in case Alex sucked, got hurt or wanted too much money.

I used to get the old Sporting News. It was the only place to get all the stats every week - not just the league leader stuff you got in the daily paper.

Can you imagine getting statistics within days of the playing of events?!? Usually by the time you got it in the mail the stats might only be 4 or 5 days old. What a magical time we were in!

The Seahawks did and then he outplayed their planned starter

There was a Matt Flynn sighting in Seattle's 58-0 blowout win Sunday over Arizona. That said, Flynn has become a pretty expensive backup to Russell Wilson.

A late addition...The SCORE's Sports Legal Analyst Eldon Ham joins the guys to discuss the head-scratching "BountyGate" ruling in the Saints' case @ 4P this afternoon.

Well, OKC, once this Bears' season reaches a screeching halt, get ready for Bulls, NBA & NCAA Basketball talk and probably no NHL because "Commissioner" Gary Bettman & NHLPA Executive Director Don Fehr are thisclose to cancelling the season.

On the show right after this one, nights with Laurence Holmes will feature lots of unnecessary screaming, not to mention references to hot looking women & shameless plugs for his weekend job on NBC5. All of that awaits once the Bears are finished.

I can't wait.

The Lovie/McClaskey/Emery storyline is one of the least interesting I've heard in a long time.

That's why I can't believe Hub's weekly print edition of PFW still makes money? Who the hell buys a weekly publication where the stories are written 2 or 3 days before you get it in the mail? Why would you buy that when you have websites and twitter that gives you up to the minute news, notes and stats. Hell, even Hub's gossip stories change by the time you get it in the mail.

Sporting News had to be more popular than PFW. Maybe it's a matter of time until Hub goes website only. I have to imagine subscribers drop every year. But he's way behind in the NFL website game. Too much good competition to make his a big time money maker at this point. Florio has 20 million people watching him on Sunday night to pimp his website. FOX, CBS and yahoo have good NFL sites. ESPN, of course. Hub can't compete with those monsters.

We live in an age where computers are everywhere. It's a digital era where we want to know our news, sports, weather, business, etc. NOW. Not yesterday. Not tomorrow. Not this weekend. Not next weekend. Not next month. NOW! NOW! NOW!

I think before Sporting News Radio became Yahoo! Sports Radio earlier this year, I remember hearing Troy Aikman do a radio commercial for SN's digital newspaper, in which you can actually get all the scores & sports news sent straight to your desktop & E-mail address.

Truth be told, circulation for the traditional newspaper has gone down considerably in recent years. I think printing & paper costs have also prompting higher prices.

By the way, memo to Chris Rongey...

The Bears' kicker's name is Olindo Mare (Ma-rey). Please get it right. Thank you.
