CBS has a certain historical sensitivity about boobs and comments about women. The precedents are well known with Janet Jackson and Don Imus. Unlike a wardrobe malfunction or ignorant quip while on-air, Twitter takes things to another level as the comments are now out in the Twitterverse forever. While he may want to lawyer his way out of this the challenge is a context in which he doesn't once again contradict himself. If he were known for similar comments it wouldn't be such a big deal, just as Boers used to inject all types of innuendo at every opportunity. But this is a SJW kingpin who has devoted significant blocks of air-time to railing against others for their beliefs and comments, and having previously gone so far as to interpret the true meanings he attached to others.

SQNEvents may lose a little business as some will look at her troll husband (both figurately and now literally) and choose differently when considering her services.

Taking away twitter would be a just punishment, along with a public apology and a dialing back of some of his free flowing invective.

In all seriousness, I hope Dan isn't given too harsh of an official punishment for this. What is important is that he's going to learn that when you play Social Justice Warrior, the only way to win is not to play. The people you think you're siding with are always waiting to take you down and declare their moral high ground on you. You're all just crabs in a bucket. Be the best human being you can be, but don't try to be more than that, because then you say a woman has nice boobs and people want to end your professional life. Its not just saying a woman has nice boobs. He made a point of steering the conversation away from her work and to the subject of her tits. (he probably thought he was being socially aware because he's a white man thinking a black woman is attractive.)


Also, I dont think anyone here wants him fired for this. They want him fired in general and hoping this does the trick.
