I get Dan being pissed off but this feels pretty disingenuous because he already decided Rose is a villain ages ago. I thought he was finished after the last game anyway and last night just had a sense of inevitability surrounding it.

The problem is when Dan does this it is the boy that cried wolf to me. I assume it is just a programming troll job.

There is nothing the Bulls can do to beat LeBron James. The Bulls will remain just good enough to be not good enough.

Fake anger, runnin' wild brother!!

Dan, why do you care? The Bulls weren't going to win the Championship this year anyway.

Exactly. Save it, Bernstein. The coach is getting fired. You should be happy.

Also, his bosses have monetized things quite well. Be more angry that the NBAPA will potentially open the Bulls books. That's big-picture stuff.

I wonder if Thibs' theoretical assistant coach position when Dan theoretically hires him out of the generosity of his heart will be downgraded as well.

Imaginary radio ... they were keen on the Bulls winning this year and this year alone, albeit more due to circumstances having to do with Cleveland.

Keen is a loose word there...Dan picked Cavs while saying he thinks this is their best shot...once again...Dan goes out on a limb.....this is lazy. fucktard.radio.

i said it last night in the 4th qtr too.

dan is right, the bulls QUIT in the 3rd.

not just rose, but rose is the leader and they all must follow the leader.

were back to rose not giving a shit. it sucks. i think he will be a lot better next year, but we need a leader on this team. someone who forces rose to try.

The fake Danny outrage is ridiculous. Show that outrage when they fire Thibs and hire Gentry.

It brings a tear to my eye knowing that some lucky coach out there will soon be working for John Paxson, the Greatest Boss Ever.

Exactly. It is amazing how Paxson skates on this situation, media wise.

If I didn't know better I would think that Derrick Rose threatened bernstein's family or spit in his face or something. The vitriol he constantly directs at Rose is so obviously personal and far beyond anything that has actually occurred on the hardwood.

i dont know, i was pissed off too. rose clearly gave up in the 3rd quarter... i thought he was hurt to be honest, the guy looked like he was. but he confirmed it himself after the game when ANY other player would have said [at the end of a season like this] 'i wasnt 100%, this was not the outcome i expected and there is unfinished business left on that floor'.

but he said NO such thing. he sounded happy it was over and school was out for the summer and he gets to play with mommy and the kids now. the little bitch wasn't hurt, he simply didn't care. he is not kobe, he is not iverson... he is JAY CUTLER.

i think he will be a great point guard for us next year. still way better than brooks or hinrich, but we need a LEADER. we need a westbrook or durant. we need a chris paul or a joakim noah that can shoot. if lebron was on this team we 3 peat.

the whole thing just sucks. derrick got more money than he ever thought he would, and it took the wind out of his sails. why should he care? winning rings doesnt change his life, who cares if he has 600 million instead of 300 million? his mommy has a new house and he has all the skittles he can eat. life is good. WHAT HE REALLY NEEDS IS A FUCKING DAD.

Great Cutler/ Rose comparison, Ike. I don't think either one really values titles. If it happens, OK....if it doesn't, OK.

It was funny to hear the discussion about Rose "giving up".

dan: Terry, you've been around the game for a long time, has an elite player ever given up in a playoff game before?

Terry: Uh, I, I, I, uh, yeah, a long time, a loooooooong time, and going back, look, going way, way back, eh, uh, I don't re..., I, uh, in recent memory, uh, eh, again, in recent memory, no, no player has ever given up that I can remember.

It's so fucking easy to forget The Great LeBron James a few years back against Boston.

lebron was expected to win since childhood. he didnt realize what 'try' was until he was faced with adversity.

rose has been through that adversity. multiple times. he simply quit because he doesnt care about winning. very different from lebron. lebron has always wanted to win... just took him a bit to figure out how.
