In every league, there's always room for a team that zigs where the rest of the league zags. People said the same thing about the NFL until the Seahawks' defense shut down everything in their sight.

I know what you are saying but I can't really remember the last team to win playing that style of ball. Maybe it was the Early 2000's Spurs with Bowen in the starting lineup. I kind of remember them to be offensively challenged. The Pistons of 03 were probably the last team with Ben Wallace and Tayshaun Prince as a rookie.

More often than not you lose playing that way. It was refreshing to hear Memphis's coach say that they would need to score a 100 points a game in order to beat Golden State. The grind it out style doesn't win championships these days. The league is more free flowing these days. Its almost as it was during the 80's when you had teams run and down and take the first available good shot. The Pistons played a little different but they still had good to great scorers on their team.

Every day that goes by without Thibs being fired will make Danny more defensive and combative. Steve Aschburner was on the other day, and he refused to go along with the "anybody but Thibs" mantra. He went so far to say that if the Bulls hired Alvin Gentry, fans would be very unhappy a year from now due to the drop in coaching skill and the likelihood the Bulls would be a mediocre team.

Monday during Tranny (I got through pretty much all of it!) Bernstein was wailing about a "point b-to-c' problem/solution" and then the name he heard was someone from the Phil Jackson Tree: Kurt Rambis. That went over like a wet fart, so Berns moved on. Holy shit that'd be a terrible hire!

Didn't Bernstein crap all over speculation on a Gentry hire stating that all he does is get fired and then went on to discuss Rambis. I couldn't understand why no one mentioned the fact that all that guy does is get fired. Also, did anyone else catch today's PTI with TK calling Mr. Bernstein, "Don" Bernstein. It made me laugh that he's so far off Kornheiser's radar that he blew his name. Wilbon did correct him though.

Exactly. It is amazing how Paxson skates on this situation, media wise.

Still going, PM.
