So 3 days in a row of Dave Haugh filling in?

Really?

He played college football, you know. He can also speak intelligently about Pac 12 football.

Hanley was at the Breeders Cup this weekend and Mully is out today, probably eating.

Calling David Haugh a windsock is being kind...

I heard them discussing the Garopollo trade last week. A caller questioned Garopollo's value and pointed out Matt Cassel. Haugh immediately scoffed at the comparison and said they weren't comparable.

Really? I wouldn't say they are the same QB but to dismiss the thought is insane. Away from coach hoodie, Garopollo has proven ZERO. I'd say it's a safer bet then Garopollo turning out to be an elite QB.

I think it all comes down to risk. With a drafted QB, it is a complete unknown, and probably a high draft pick and not a crazy contract. With the next big think backup QB, it's a 2nd rd pick, film from him in practice and limited game time, hopefully maturity and a crazy contract. But we do not know what NE was asking from on draft day. If it were a 2nd rd pick then, I would of drafted a QB and traded for him to let them compete.
