Chill, Frank. No need to kick a man when he's down.
This implies that Leash was up at some point. Which, DID.NOT.HAPPEN.

No... it literally doesn't imply that. At all. Just stop... it's getting sad.

Is Frank smacking you around like 312player does to his hoes when they skim some scratch of the daily? Or is he being lured into a trap like when spmack banged that tranny at a tranny bar but he thought they were joking like it was too obvious?

I wouldn't say Frank's lying. I'm sure he genuinely thinks he's winning in the same way a bum on the corner might think he is Jesus. Sadly, the passersby have no reservations about egging Frank on the same way they do the hobo.

There are no winners or losers here.

Except you. You actually are a loser.

towards the end of their daily hit with Bruce Levine this morning to start the 8AM hour, Mulli starts speaking:

Mulli wrote:
You know you you ahh look at the ahh schedule that was released yesterday, and it it it it just makes things more real just having dates. i don't know that its definitely gonna happen for the cubs, but certainly the dates are there and ahh and the 28th and 29th and the 30th of October would be the home world series dates for the national league based on the schedule i'm looking at and that of course ahh Joe talked about the the ah inclement weather and ahh this idea youknow he didnt really take it all the way to to ahh fruitition but ahh youknow the idea that baseball is best played in in ahh warm weather in good weather um, youknow I I would never deny the fine people of chicago the ahh ability to watch their team in the world series and i hope that ahh that everyone gets a chance that wants to, to get into a game or get down there somehow um and i know thats not a realistic pr-proposal but youknow its its really interesting when you start looking at the dates and the weather and youknow October 20th the bears are ahh playing the ahh.. the ahh packers and ahh

it was at that point bruce finally stepped in and started talking

I truly think Mully might have a disorder. Kreutz and Big Cat are sitting in with him today. At about 5:30, they were playing some game where the producer asks them questions. The question was "what is the best case scenario and the worst case scenario for the Bears this year?"

Mully went on a five-minute speech that not only didn't address the question; he drifted off into some nonsensical soliloquy about every single offensive position individually. When he was done, it wasn't clear what the question even was anymore.

Thankfully, Kreutz actually called him out. Kreutz sat there silent after Mully was done and just said "What?"... "so what is your answer to the question?" I don't think Mully appreciated it too much. He probably needs people to do that more often.

He's also an ultra sensitive ass clown who led the local media charge against Lovie when Smith wouldn't play ball answering questions in detail. Somehow, Hanley is the better host of this duo. Let that sink in. Idk how Mulligan's still allowed to interview people unless Mitch has some sick twisted sense of humor like us.

In all seriousness, I don't dislike Mully. He's a jovial guy who is knowledgeable about sports.

He does need some sort of muzzle on occasion, though.

That's funny. I feel like I don't like anyone. I don't like Goff, Spiegel, Hanley, and I don't dislike Mully, but I also don't think he's a good radio host. He seems like he's probably a good guy (likely buys drinks).

I am neutral on Bernstein because he's so overbearing and feminine, but he's clearly the best host, IMO.

I don't love them, but I think I like Hub and Rozner more than most do.

And I actually think Laurence is a decent host who is prepared... but I can't get over the fact that he's such a needy little dork. I can't say that I like him, but he can at least conduct an interview and keep a show moving solo.

I also never understood the love for Mac. He's smooth, but I think he's dense and the topics he loves are lame to me.

Even though I joke and give DB crap, I don't really like anyone on ESPN. Silvy might be okay on a different station.

Oh, I forgot Boers. He's my number one.

Abbatacola? Seriously? I always thought you were an intellectual. I bet Abbatacola is the type that unscrews salt shaker lids and pulls people chairs out from under them.

I think it would probably be fun to get hammered and talk crap to Bernstein, too. In person, he would have no rebuttal.

One of my pet peeves is when someone is constantly interrupting, and Mully is a persistent offender. This morning Hanley was ranting about the Bears with Zaidman and Mully kept trying to talk over Hanley. Let Hanley speak for a few seconds, I am sure in a 3 hour show (or however long it is) Mully will have time to give us his views and opinions. No need to interrupt.

Thursday night Lawerence opened his show complaining about how the reporters at the Trump presser did a Tearible job asking questions. Lawerence as you know teaches at DePaul and is apparently a great interviewer (who knew?). Anyway they discussed about how tearible it is when the interviewer asks a 3 minute long question and in the question the interviewer answers his own question.... of course i immediately thought Mully and of this thread and sent him a text:

I tuned in during 5 at 5 yesterday morning and Mully was talking in circles about something until he eventually had to ask "What was the question?

7/12/17 - Hour 1: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/audio/mully ... nley-show/

He begins to answer the question at 24:40:

Mulligan (at 26:28): "Do I think there's an imminent trade for Kyle Schwarber? No?"
Mulligan (at 27:00): "To answer the question, um...what was the question?"
Hanley (at 27:04): "Do you believe the Cubs offered Kyle Schwarber?"

After talking for nearly two and a half minutes Mulligan doesn't even remember what the question was, even though he essentially repeated it and answered it about 30 seconds prior to asking.

It always bugs me when I hear Anglophile Mulligan (and yes, I know or think his family is from Britain, maybe he is too) but that they call the beginning of their show Live at Five which is the name of the daily sports program on BBC.

I think Mully's "long-winded" questions and constant screaming is because the guy is tired as hell every day. He screams to keep himself awake. The long questions are because he's so tired that he gets lost and doesn't know what the hell he's saying.
