Blackhawks lost last night, so for the drive in today, I figured I'd go local. Big mistake. God, that fucking Mully. They had ZZ on to discuss the Hawks, but he would not let him get a word in edge-wise. I'm not even sure if Hanley was there or anyone else was co-hosting. Mully just disallowed any speaking other than is own. The fuck even took calls, but god knows why, because as soon as the caller said a few words, Mully descended upon him and took over the conversation. At least half of the reason was that he felt the need to attempt some shitty joke. Dude, enough with your "jokes." They're not amusing. Like, not at all. Like, shut the fuck up, the less you talk the better the show will be. Fuck, your callers are an improvement on your jokes, and your callers consist primarily of braindead meatballs.

TL;DR, Mully needs to die in a fire.

It's fine. They had a nice discussion with Eddie O.

I caught most of the Eddie O segment, and I was extremely disappointed that he absolutely refused to criticize almost any aspect of the Hawks play during the game. I know he leans homer, but will at least offer some critique from time-to-time. Not this morning - Bickell was "trying to make the play", the Hawks were simply "tired" in the first period (hey, "it happens") - about the only thing he would say was that Crow had no help in the first period. Bullshit - hell, Milbury lit up Bickell after the game; at least Edzo could have acknowledged the Bickell miscue.

Eddie O homerism has gotten really old.

I am not as fond of Eddie O as everyone else in the media seems to be. I know he is the Steve Stone of broadcasting in hockey, but he wears on me with his repetitive commentary. "Oh we've got some tired players on the ice." "Never a bad idea to put the puck on goal." but soon followed by, "If he just held it a nanosecond longer." Wait I thought it was a good idea to get the puck on net.

He knows his stuff, but his sights are typically quite limited.

They had Pierre McGuire on yesterday and I don't recall a more pointless interview... ever.

Well, the last thing I need after a Hawks game, win or lose, is to listen to Rozner. I get enough of his sorry a$$ in the DH, and he has been nothing but preachy and annoying in his columns.

You ever read Rozner? He tells you was has to happen, what all fans are thinking, and then when he happens to be right, "you heard it here first." Lately his columns have simply been a game recap with snarky comments mixed in. But I can't quit him!

Yeah, Steve Rosenbloom can be very addicting...

Oh, wait. My bad.

I thought you were talking about Rosie...

I was doing work around the house today and I was listening to Kap and Haugh on CSN. They were interviewing Eddie O and Eddie really comes across as a prick. Kap mentioned something Keith Jones said and Eddie O responded with a snide remark to interview Keith Jones then.

Eddie O then remarked about the Hawks struggles in the beginning of games and Kap mentioned, rightfully so, the Hawks strong 1st period in game 3. Eddie O responded as a total douche "Do I have to repeat myself again" or something to that effect.

I have heard other interviews and I don't know if it some sort of act but it Eddie O appears rude and condescending.

Eddie is nothing but cordial with the Score's morning/midday guys. He even refers to Jason as "Goffer"! My guess is that the guy is really exhausted and can't be bothered to put on his best face for some bullshit make-believe radio show with two idiots.

I have heard him in other interviews before and he could get testy.
In a previous interview with Kaplan, Kaplan mentioned something Bryan Campbell said and Eddie O did the whole "go interview Bryan Campbell" schtick. Maybe he hates Kaplan but I have heard him in other interviews with other hosts and he will interrupt or try to speak over the host

To me Eddie O comes across as just rude sometimes.
