He definitely had that resignation in his voice. While not wholly the pitching staff's fault, that first inning stat is really bad and is in Don's area of responsibility.

Entire Culture Cleaning needed there.

Starts at the very very top....needs to change. Jonny Reinsdorf wants no part of this mess...Mike is fine with the Bulls on auto pilot. Look for 8 years from now. Joey Reinsdorf to clean house. He is 17 right now. LOL...thats the future.

I think Hahn has done a fine job. Two solid off seasons. I am not sure why the team doesn't perform up to expectations. I'd start with the coaching staff, and see if that helps.

hahn has been here forever and the farm system still sucks, he may be a brilliant guy but that doesnt mean he's untouchable or not responsible for this mess.

I'm sure there are things that Hahn wouldn't have done without being pressed into them. I believe it's more than just Kenny. Reinsdorf is an old guy. I really don't think he wants to spend five seasons finishing last on purpose. But that doesn't have to be done anyway.

The one really bad move was Cabrera. You had Schuck who was a highly regarded guy who had fallen out of favor without really getting a shot. I would have just gone with him out there and seen what happened.

The dumb part of the narrative that Spiegel (and others) are putting forth is that Epstein's way has worked. It's like George W. Bush and his "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" sign.

It has "worked." They have a good team with lots of likeable young stars. Plenty of hope and optimism. Fannies in the seats. Sox have none of that.

Did I miss the part where the Cubs won the world series? Because that's their goal, not just being likeable and creating optimism. The Cubs have improved but the goal is a championship and they haven't gotten there yet. If they do win, then it worked, but if they don't win, then it didn't work. Saying that Theo's method has worked because the team is better is jumping the gun. That's the point of the Bush comparison.

Going off on Sox subdivision again: "Sale draws 40k everywhere he pitches....except at home. It's kind of sad."

if he wasn't paid a hefty salary there is no way he'd dedicate 4-5 hours of his time, spend $100+ to watch white sox "baseball". F him and his red ass. generally speaking it is unwatchable garbage. instead of bitching at us the fan, go figure out how to make use of danks

They kind of tried.

Think of it as the scene in Animal House when they keep taking Jugdish and the others over in the corner and they keep mingling out of the corner....that was kenny. His Job wasnt defined and he stepped right back into his job.

You will never hear hahn complain about it....ever...but it is an issue
