This fucking guy just keeps pushing the Ross for the ASG story. If I hadn't seen what he has become I would think it was mocking the absurdity of guys like Russell and Ross even being considered for the team. However, he brings it up randomly in conversations to "experts" and isn't deterred when their response is lukewarm.

Great Sox fan today thought the Sox should just wave the white flag today because there are "so many teams ahead of them".

First, that argument is not valid half way through a season. That is plenty of time to jump multiple teams.

Second, as of the making of his statement today, there are exactly three teams ahead of them for the second wild card spot. Two of those team they just beat in head to head series. The third one they meet another 10 or so times this year.

Finally, 2.5 games separate them from that last spot, with the team holding that position fading.

Gammons dismissed him as he was making the statement but Mully just plowed along that if he were the GM he would be selling right now.

Now, explain to me how, even when the most self loathing of Sox fans has found some hope recently, we have the designated Sox fan at the station looking for them to tank a season in which they are contending?
