Television ratings are but one way of knowing that without a doubt, NFL football is much more popular than baseball. There's other proof, but that is one way of proving it.

I don't think that the "size" (in terms of intensity of fandom, i.e. a "bigger fan") of the fandom is relevant anyway. It's numbers of fans we're talking about, not intensity of fandom. that being said, as noted, there are extenuating circumstances. Financial constraints, time contstraints... why didn't I go to a game? Is it because I'm too cheap or not a big enough fan or is it that I simply had to work too much? Could I also have been inaccessable? Maybe there was great distance between myself and my team? Not my personal circumstance, but one that happens quite a bit. My boss is a huge Saints fan. He can't go to every other home game as he lives in McHenry.

Since you're a baseball fan who never attends any games, why is it difficult for you to believe that there might be other baseball fans that don't watch playoff games that don't include their favorite teams?

I don't know... that just came off as WAAAAY over the top. And a little spooky... Guy seems like he might be a bit disturbed. Something isn't right with him. For the record... my personal opinion is that there were only two "creepy" people here on the board until this page...

One was Panther, who knows I find him creepy. The other doesn't really post here a lot but I always found NSJ a bit creepy.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. I mean, this is a collection of internet people. That there's not a higher percentage of creeps is a really good sign.
