Sometimes I think you're just saying shit to say shit. And this certainly qualified as shit.
I didn't watch hardly one Cubs game this season. Nor did I attend a game. I worked way too many hours this summer to go to or watch hardly any tv at all this summer.
I'm still a fan. I will always be a fan.
I don't need to buy a ticket to purchase my fandom.

Television ratings are but one way of knowing that without a doubt, NFL football is much more popular than baseball. There's other proof, but that is one way of proving it.

You're on an island here. You're alone in your belief. Your illogic is that everyone is wrong, and you're the only guy who is right. How logical does that sound? But then again...

Darkside,
I guess JORR feels put up or shut up as far as fandom goes. He has a point,if your spending hundreds a season to see a team while I sit home and watch it for free, how can I say I'm a bigger fan?

I don't think that the "size" (in terms of intensity of fandom, i.e. a "bigger fan") of the fandom is relevant anyway. It's numbers of fans we're talking about, not intensity of fandom. that being said, as noted, there are extenuating circumstances. Financial constraints, time contstraints... why didn't I go to a game? Is it because I'm too cheap or not a big enough fan or is it that I simply had to work too much? Could I also have been inaccessable? Maybe there was great distance between myself and my team? Not my personal circumstance, but one that happens quite a bit. My boss is a huge Saints fan. He can't go to every other home game as he lives in McHenry.

You're a funny guy. You take umbrage at someone questioning your fandom, and yet, perhaps there are millions of baseball fans who, after watching 162 games and with their teams long since finished, might choose to watch a football game featuring their fantasy players or an episode of The Walking Dead instead of tuning in to watch a game between the Cardinals and Giants, and that's your "proof" that football is "more popular" than baseball. Since you're a baseball fan who never attends any games, why is it difficult for you to believe that there might be other baseball fans that don't watch playoff games that don't include their favorite teams?

Also, you have an annoying habit of seeking validation for your inane opinions from the other members of this forum. It makes you look like a fucking weakling. Why don't you just speak for yourself?

Finally, jimmypasta, welcome to the island!

You are a fool. A total fool. Really. And you're pretty mean spirited about it too.
Obviously... I mean OBVIOUSLY, I was making a joke about a guy who spent hundreds of thousands on dollars on porno.
The fact that you still have that bookmarked is... creepy. I mean really creepy.

I'm kind of creeped out by you, JORR. I think its finally time to put you on the ignore list and just get away from you. I have a feeling you're an unhealthy person.

later dude.

You found a way to get into with Hank Scorpio, for God's sake! Hank Fucking Scorpio!!!!! Possibly the nicest guy that ever posted here. You're a complete fucking douchebag. Are you really unaware of that? And mean-spirited? You've got a lot of fucking nerve. You little Caller Bob.

Good one JORR. Sounding really uncreepy and totally healthy there.
Look at how mad you get, how mean you are when people don't agree with you.

Yep. I'm right on the money. You are a creep. Look at how you handle youself. Not very well.

PS. I'm pretty sure I didn't get into anything with Hank Scorpio... I remember on little tiff that was really more of a misunderstanding... and I'm pretty sure we cleared it up but that was some time ago. Again, that came off as really weird and creepy.

I don't know... that just came off as WAAAAY over the top. And a little spooky... Guy seems like he might be a bit disturbed. Something isn't right with him. I guess I had to address it with the way he came after me like some kind of psychopath. It didn't seem right just letting that go without addressing it. Dude is clearly unbalanced.
I did remove his hilarious quote from my sig line though.

Now, as far as the new IMU... not really. IMU is a little young and arrogant and he absolutely rubs me the wrong way but I've never thought of him as unbalanced or crazy or whatever you want to call it.

JORR's uncontrolled outburst there was absolutely bizarre and proof that he's a little off his rocker. It's shocking at how badly he handled himself. I guess I was surprised.

For the record... my personal opinion is that there were only two "creepy" people here on the board until this page...

One was Panther, who knows I find him creepy. The other doesn't really post here a lot but I always found NSJ a bit creepy.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. I mean, this is a collection of internet people. That there's not a higher percentage of creeps is a really good sign.

You should shove your amateur psychology straight up your ass. You're clearly obsessed with me. I'm not quite sure if you want to be me or if you just want to sleep with me, and I don't really care which one it is. I mean, which one of us had a signature from the other for a month? I noticed you got rid of it before you accused me of being creepy.

You really lack self-awareness, don't you? And your act is getting really old and tired. You're like a fucking mosquito that buzzes and bites and when someone finally swats you, you go into your shtick. "Chill, buddy. What did you do that for? Why so angry? You take this place too seriously. Wow, you're really sensitive, aren't you?"

Simply put, you're full of shit. You know who takes this place seriously? YOU. Only one guy got his feelings hurt when he was eliminated in BRick's tournament last year. YOU. You're a ridiculous dude.

And you want to talk about being "mean-spirited"? It's pretty well-known that IMU and I aren't a great mix, but you make that annoying kid absolutely sympathetic. He obviously wanted to fit in with your "group" (I have no idea why), and the way you came at him was shameful.

I don't know where you get this from. Believe it or not, I try to get along with most everyone. DS and his group, if you want to refer to it as that, aren't special. I'm just a social guy, and we shared some common interests. Then again, I usually share some common interests with most people.

Besides, if I need to latch onto a group, it'll be Speeps' and OKC's crew. Those guys know how to have a party. ;)

Whatever the case may be, I consider the way he came after you in this forum to be way over the top. Beyond that, I have no knowledge of your interactions with him in person.
