 Imagine if every Packer fan was like Urlacher's Missing Neck and you know what IU fans are like on the Purdue message boards.

I just finally went back a couple of pages to see why everyone hated me. Let me just say, a lot of people made the list today.

And Purdue fans have done their fair share of bragging over the last few years as well.
At least it was based on actual results(regular season and BTT).

Yes. The Purdue message boards I go to have been filled with IU fans bragging about the preseason ranking. There will be quite a meltdown if IU doesn't win the title.

I was about to ask why IU fans go on a Purdue board before I realized the irony of such a question.

I am shocked that enough people care about Purdue to have all gathered in one place to discuss the greatness of Glenn Robinson.

Back when I worked at the BMV, I titled a Bentley for Glenn Robinson.

During the past 4 years Hoosier fans got really stupid. We stormed Assembly Hall when the Hoosiers beat an unranked Minnesota in 2010 and 21st (I think) ranked Illinois in 2011. I picked the worst 4 years to decide to go to IU and watch basketball

I understand. That sucks. I had to endure the end of the Gene Keady era, but I got Orton and Brees so I can't complain too much.

Add football rain delay to the list of things that outdraw baseball.

Let me guess, rain delay is on a lot of fantasy teams.
...or rain delay is something people gambled on.
...or a rain delay on Sunday night made for a great party atmosphere.

No. Not even close. I don't even know where you get that.

They love football so much that they are willing to sit there and wait for the game to start. It goes to show how stupid your thoughts are that it is just a big television show are though. If it was a television show, they would have switched to Bar Rescue or Duck Dynasty. It is clear they are tuning in for football and football alone.

Baseball can't even get fans to tune in when the game is actually being played. The NFL can literally stop playing and be massively popular by simply providing stadium weather updates and showing locker room stretching.

Of course it's still the most popular sport.

So this is the statement /quote that started it all, huh? Its akin to when Edison asked Tesla what the most popular electrical current was... If Edison and Tesla were know-it-all losers on a message board.

I don't think anyone who is still attending White Sox games should talk about someone being too braindead to avoid watching something that is meaningless.

It's all "meaningless", Rick. You're not making history by watching a TV show.

Is Sportscenter on the same ESPN that was pressured by the NFL to drop the PBS concussion project?

In defense of baseball, while the 2nd most popular sport, it produces individual moments that no other sport can dream of creating.

A backup catcher hitting a walkoff homerun in an elimination game against the unquestioned best closer in baseball for the past few months when he throws a pitch that Baseball America calls 'unhittable.'

That was special.

Wrong. The Dodgers are 2-0. Still, it's probably not the smartest move to begin the season of America's Pastime in a foreign country. They should leave the gimmicks to clown leagues like the NFL where the rules change every season.
