I've been giving this show a try for an hour or so a day for the last two weeks. I think I made an honest effort, but I can't do it any more. Bill and Wendy on WGN are more entertaining, and I'm pretty sure the only reason Wendy (who has a voice that manages to be both mopey and whiny are the same time) has a job there is because Robin Baumgarten has a stipulation in her contract that says she can't be the dumbest person at the station.

I can't believe this is the best AM1000 can do. Carmen is likable guy but never seems to say anything interesting or funny, and I'm not sure if Jurko is a poor man's Tony Siragusa or if Siragusa is a version of Jurko who lucked into a national broadcast deal. One is as bad as the other.

Listening to Carmen and Jurko makes me feel like I'm sitting in a sterile waiting room with very bright fluorescent lighting and a stack of Woman's Day magazines from 1995.

Is Carmen related to Pete McMurray? They remind of me of each other.

I listen moreso because of what's on the Score. Both Carm and Jurk are very nice guys. Would love to see Carm and Silvie pair up again.

Giggling Goff annoys the crap out of me. Spiegel just sucks. PTFB for these clowns.

I'm with Edzo. I know they aren't very good but I can't do social justice radio with Slappy and Tubs at all . At least you're not being told how to feel about <subject> and if you do feel a different way than them you should be fitted for your white hood . ( I bought mine off the rack for clarity's sake ).

Terry always pounded the console for something that was really funny. It was every once in a while. Jason does it all the time and I have to say it's kinda annoying. I know he reads this...Jason, a lot of the stuff you laugh at (like Matt) isn't really all that funny, and I know you have a good sense of humor. Laugh at what's funny...radio silence is ok too.

I find myself not listening to WSCR because nearly all the hosts are unlikable and not listening to AM1000 because nearly all the hosts are dull.

Maybe I'm just a miserable fuck who isn't happy no matter what.

No. Sports radio is bad in this town right now.

I walked away from SCR with the SJW's won.

I walked away from ESPN because ESPN sucks.

I don't listen to AM radio.

I feel better for that.

So true. Other than my guys Mully & Hanley there is nothing. Podcasts/Music have taken over.

Listening right now. They just said a huge announcement coming up in about 20 minutes regarding their show, AM1000 and the White Sox... they say it's big.

I am not sure if this is what he is referring to but they just made it a few minutes ago. It is a Sox game in a suite with listeners against Boston. Supposedly they tried to plan it out with the highest chance Sale is pitching.

 Sorry, HM but they got their balls busted from ESPN Mgmt for announcing an announcement before they ironed out the details. He just said about 15 minutes ago that the Carmen & Jurko Show has secured a suite at Guaranteed Rate Field for the Sox vs Red Sox game on May 30th @ 7:10 pm. If all goes as scheduled with Boston, no rainouts, injuries, etc., Chris Sale is supposed to pitch. They will be giving away chances to listeners to win and attend the game in their suite. Not quite what I would call huge but that was their description earlier.
