Finji-

Would you be so kind as to post an mp3 of the segment for those of us who could not listen today?

I caught this segment quite by chance, and was very moved. Dan McNeil, Jurko and Harry epitomized class and grace, and my hat is off to them.

Guys, how do I post an mp3 on here? As soon as I know I can get this done.

You have to host it online and just post the link here, Finji. I don't think you can post an MP3 file directly onto the board.

If only you had access to some sort of website....

I've hosted files here before: http://www.mediafire.com/

It's free.

I heard that segment also. Very nice.

I think MJH have the best connection with their audience of all the shows in town and I believe that was a prime example of why.

Alright, we put the audio of MJH's tribute to Julie on the our page. Most of you know it already, but here's the link anyway. Just scroll down a little bit and you'll see it right next to the lovechildren. Click on the picture for the audio...

Sorry it took me a little bit to put it up for you guys.

And Adam...I echo all the sentiments of MJH. Sincerest condolences from everyone at ESPN.

The segment was coming up in a few minutes just as I arrived home. I sat in my car in my garage until it was over. Well done by MJH, especially Mac.

Thanks Doug.

My hat's off to M, J, & H for their sincere acknowledgement of this situation. I had a hard time keeping myself together while listening.

I am still amazed they did that, it meant the world to me. Well, I won't be on for awhile but anyone that wants to help me just spend 2 1/2 minutes listening to this and thinking about her. That would mean A LOT!!

I'm sure Julie's years with you were the "times of her life" Adam. Hang in there.

Just listened to the MJH tribute, and that is why those guys are the class act in the business. They appreciate their fans and what the fans have done for them, and in turn we appreciate what they give us each and every afternoon. I'm sure somewhere Julie appreciated it.

Gentlemen, (MJH, in case y'all were confused!)

What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful lady. I cried all over again listening to it. Thank you so much for acknowledging Adam's loss as well as the loss to your listening community.

Maybe next year you could sponsor a ladies day out in honor of Julie...with all proceeds going to a charity of Adam's wishes? I know that all of the ladies (and gentlemen) on this board would gladly support any efforts in her honor.

Thank you again for acknowledging the loss our small community has suffered.

Thats a pretty good idea. They are always kicking around the idea of doing a "Ladies Only" outing, maybe some sort of "HappyHour Jason Memorial Wet Tshirt Contest." Or something with a far less sexist title/motive would work too :P

Ok, so maybe I wasn't so much thinking of a Wet Tshirt Contest in her honor...
but there were 2 organizations mentioned on the Trib obituary page...and M_C could certainly direct us towards what he feels is most appropriate. Maybe not JUST a "ladies day", but a day that the BOARD, not sponsors, could participate in to raise funds and celebrate Julie's life!

M_C you're in our prayers.
I don't know if anyone can relate to your situation, but it's nice to see the outpouring of support.
Also, a very classy act by MJH. I've been to one of their remotes, and I noticed how much the trio interacted with the group in attendance. It's easy to grasp their true, heartfelt sentiments.

Thanks for the link Doug. Just got back in town and to say I was shocked would be an understatement.

Adam, I am terribly sorry for your loss. If you need anything, please don't hesitate.

BUMP.

Came up in another thread. Was able to still find this with MJH's very nice tribute to HHJ.

Nice thread. Want to be sure to make sure it isn't deleted for being old.
